Any of you vacationers to the Panhandle or OBA area having or seeing any negative consequences or impediments regarding this algae bloom going on down there?

Thanks

Down at Rosemary I heard of a few people getting sick from it.

Reason #350 I don't get in that water.

I was in Pensacola Beach over the weekend and the water was great.

Close to the best I've ever seen it.

Algae kills jellyfish and sharks. Makes it perfect for swimming.

I've heard a few things off Facebook post about people getting sick in a few areas but not sure where. I'd def research before going to any beaches for the time being.

Just left Santa Rosa Beach on Sunday. It was the clearest I have seen the water in many years.

Is this different than the "red tide" event they had a few years ago? Went to Destin that week and had trouble breathing. It was like walking through pepper spray
