That’s bc he shoots more step back than ANY team in the league. A step back is a heavily contested shot. So a foul is more likely. Hardwn does Not draw more fouls on heavily contested threes than the rest of the league. He shoots more than anyone else. So he is fouled more than anyone else. No one else can shoot such a highly contested shot at such a high rate.

Bubba. on a wide open three there is zero chance for a foul. Harden shoots more stepback threes than ANY TEAM. He is fouled more than anyone Bc he shots more CONTESTED shots than anyone. Steph rarely shoots a contested three. Harden almost always shoots a contested three. Use you brain. And try to remember what shots fouls can occur on. If a man is not being guarded tightly the chance for a foul goes to zero. This is not your bag man you don’t know the game good enough to be here.

Hardens shoot about 25-30% more threes than Steph this past year. But he shot 300% more threes that are classified as tight or very tight coverage by tracking data.. that’s because Steph shoots 80% of his three point shots are open or very open. what you didn’t realize is that when talking about fouls drawn you also have to look at the type of shot being taken. I am here to teach. You can’t cry foul when you don’t know your data.

Dirk took Jason freaking Terry to the Finals twice as his #2 dude. Get outta here trying to say Harden is so great b/c of space he creates for other players when the space Dirk created as a big who could shoot the way he did opened up a hell of a lot more than a guard can ever open up.
