What is your level of DIY? Vivint is going to charge you at lease $60 per month ($720/year). You can get Ring monitoring plus video storage for $100 per year.

Avoid signing any type of contract monitoring service like ADT, Vivint, etc.
Most of the devices (doorbell camera, outdoor camera, etc) are plug and play and easier if in a new home.
FWIW, I have Nest thermostat, doorbell camera, and 2 outdoor cams. For security, I use the Simplisafe system. They give you 2 security options to choose from for 24/7 monitoring and it’s between $20-$25/month.

Go with your local security company. They will install the flat panel control center and doorbell camera's you want. I went local here in Lafayette and they have been wonderful for 10 years.

Literally switched from Moni/Brinks last week.
Was strongly leaning toward abode, but went with Ring.
$10 monitoring is half (or less) than everyone else, the cloud storage for cameras is just icing on the top. Also has zwave functionality, and is expanding their "works with" list. Amazon owns it, so I don't have to worry about CAD getting behind Ring and it going end of life the next week.
FWIW, I have nest thermostats and 2 nest/dropcam cameras, the $10 a month was just too good to justify needing everything in one app.
