LINK Do the left field lunatics, coon corner, bullpen bullies still exist? Oh here’s some pics for you.
Not sure why they aren’t working

I'm not sure, but I have a lot of fond memories if the old box.
I started going to LSU baseball games in 1985 and attended a lot of great games and regionals at the old box.

That giant baseball to capture the spirit of the Box was useless.

I remember playing State and the box was so packed they allowed fans to sit in foul territory in LF and RF. I loved the old Box!

Several members of the groups are still attending games but are no longer organized. I was a member of the "Two Out Rally" crew in the third base bleachers at the old Box and about ten members still go to games at the new Box. When the new Box was opened, banners were banned from the seating areas and the groups slowly started to become extinct. I miss those days when the fans were not so involved with their cell phones and really got into the games. I know, I'm old.

Right field/ first base line here. The metal bleachers and the lsu hot ladies that used too walk up them

I spent plenty of time watching weekend series at the old box. Great memories especially my senior year of high school after that I joined the military and when I returned the old box was gone. Etears

Everyone disagrees with me but I will always believe that “The Box” should have been renovated. Could have been done over several seasons. One off season refurbish or tear down and rebuild the grand stand one year the the next rip out all bleachers and build a permanent structure with chair back seats the next. The box was tore down for 2 reasons. Skip wanted a new stadium for his legacy and others wanted the land it sat on

Lots of style and character, and very intimidating. None of which the new stadium has. I've been to funerals that had more atmosphere.

I miss the old box. It had a certain kind of mystique about it and definitely was intimidating for opposing teams. The new box is an empty, corporate, shell.

It's like it was designed specifically to accommodate corporate advertising and not for fan experience.

The experience is not even close at the current venue.

Miss that old place

From regional to super regional wins

Playing rag ball in right field jacking bombs onto Nicholson and having to go get the ball.

Great memories

The Old Box was intimidating as hell. Some memories as an opponent include:

- the bleachers by our bullpen with a low fence and LSU fans sticking their heads and bodies over the fence yelling at you while warming up and wearing out you and every other soul that ventured to the pen. Some classic one liners that we still laugh at today.

- taking a dump as LSU was hitting and the bathroom shaking from the fans going nuts. Walked back out and LSU had hit a homerun and put up a couple runs which explained the earthquake.

- the RF bleachers (early internet days) heckling our players. They even brought a sign for our backup RF in case he got in the game.

We exist and 124 still has a bunch of dedicated fans(124 was the first expansion into the outfield). But it's not what it used to be obviously. Tailgating is all but dead out in HR Village. I still enjoy parking there for multiple trips to my bar(trunk) during games. And a pretty big group of fans park their coolers out back along the fence for the same reasons.

My brother is in our seats in this pic. He rarely goes anymore so me and the girlfriend basically own the tickets now. We usually make 20+ home games a year.

I remember the Old Box fondly!

The 9th inning of Game 2 of the 2008 UC Irvine Super Regional is my favorite moment.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

and then Game 3 to close the Old Box for good:
Game 3 - ALL the homeruns!
