Even if that were the case, what good would it do? By the time we get to the meat of our SEC schedule opponents will have a good idea of what we like to do.

Lsu going air raid would be a fricking insult to this great defense and all those guys who decided to come back one more year.

That's just a silly line of thinking.

Points on the scoreboard dictates in game decisions.

It's why college football today is dominated by teams that can put up points.

No, but our previous coaches were. The USC teams that O was a part of and Sean Payton's offense that it appears Brady is bringing with him will set up the run with the pass. If the defense has to respect the pass and has to cover those receivers, they can't stack the box and it opens up opportunities for the running game or to pass underneath to the RBs. If we had this approach when Fournette was here he would have won a Heisman. We will have two 1,000 yd rushers this year, book it.

I don't understand the confusion, plenty of spread teams run the ball very well. It opens running lanes, gets Corners on the field instead of backers, spreads defenses out...and the RPO gives flexibility to run or pass on every down....WR looks like it will be the most loaded group we will have the next few years...as far as I'm concerned, in Brady I trust

Task #1 for every damn game: DO NOT GAS THE D through quick drives
Task #1: move the ball down field in as big chunks as possible. The odds of continuously being able to use long, sustained drives to score TDs is low.

Instead, try to rip off as big chunks of yardage as possible.

Anyone who thinks the goal should be anything different doesn’t belong anywhere near a football field.

I don't know if he is stretching. I think he dropped one of the 5-star commits phone number that he had written down. Apparently, he found it.

We’ve done that for a long time

Let’s try and support our defense by scoring some fricking points.

Clemson’s defense was fine with their terrible TOP

LSU's offense identity is physical ground and pound. That does not mean that the forward pass cannot be utilized while applying a run first scheme.

It'll be nice if we can utilize the pass to create openings for the run when opponents stack the box and dare us to run- something we have mightily struggled with. If teams are made to respect our passing attack, this offense can score on anyone.

Please stop this shite. A D-line Coach is not concerned with anything but his D-line. Ed was never a Coordinator and I doubt he could explain coverages. What the frick does he know about the offenses SC ran? He’s said for three years “we’re gonna be a spread offense that runs downhill.” That’s the extent of his offensive knowledge. I bet he couldn’t give you how a play was called in the offensive huddle, even when he was interimHC at SC.

He was really banking on Kiffin coming here for that reason. When he said no, Ed had no backup plan.

Only idiots will not understand this. Spread them out easier to run the ball.

Air raid is the absolute last thing we need. Name the last team to win a Natty with that offensive concept. Abandoning the run is a recipe for disaster. He's saying we'll be in spread sets yet still be able to play smash mouth when needed. I feel as though some people would rather see 47/64 for 480 yards 5 TDs and a loss than 30 rushes for 280 and a win.

Y’all do know we were physical in 07 and 08 while also rolling out 3-5 WR sets (or empty sets with 3/4 WRs and a RB and/ or TE our wide if you wanna be technical). Problem was we got into trouble with a young QB throwing to the other team in 08 with some of that. It didn’t disappear entirely though, been in the offense to some degree since.

We finna throw some more tempo and RPOs with the baw #JeauxBrady now though. We comin’.
