So it's OK for James Carville to be a dyed in the wool LSU fan but not OK for O to show up when asked by the governor?
Guys, I am sure there are a ton of liberal LSU fans and a ton of conservative LSU fans and I could give a shite less who pulls for us or not.
When Jindal called on Les to show up and Les did, did you piss your pants? And Jindal was the worst enemy LSU ever had, far more than JBE.

You didn't make any points and you deserved to get insulted. You posted a bunch of shite that you just made up. You posted more shite that no rational person would do anything but laugh at. Go back and read your post. It reads like the emotional drivel of an hysterical woman.

I don’t want to watch LSU football and have to wonder if the coach is a Democrat or Republican
I have never fricking wondered about the politics of a coach.
I have wondered why he didn't know simple clock management though.

I’m a die hard conservative and I respect the right of Coach O to support whom he wants to.

I made clear, factual points. How is O not a liar and a crook for hiring Canada, not letting him coach, and firing him, after making a promise of “offensive innovation”?

This senator is acting like such a child it's embarrassing. When a coach thanks God or makes his team pray you don't see a bunch of butt hurt atheists crying about it because nobody cares. American politics are really so bad now that you can't even root for your own team if the coach is on the other side?
Give me a break.
Give me a break.

Im sorry but this is stupid. Why should Orgeron be held under any different standard then public officials that come out for support for candidates ALL THE frickING TIME. I dont like JBE either but let the dude support who he wants. All this outrage just because YOU dont like the candidate is stupid as shite.

Because O couldn't predict that Canada would be a total shithead. You holding that against him is about as shitty as it gets. If you honestly believe the straight bullshite that you post you're a fricking idiot.

Not a Coach O fan, but Kennedy has become a windsock for the the GOP. Nothing more or less.

Corch O didn’t know how to check references? If Canada was really a shite head, anyone he worked with could (and probably would) have told O that. O should have known. But O probably didn’t check references or he was stubborn and didn’t care

I haven’t lived in Louisiana in awhile, but are there laws about state employees publicly being a part of campaign events (not supporting a candidate in general but official campaign events & promotions or Ads)?
Also wondering in context over what power the Governor position has over LSU and Board of Supervisors that outside of an untouchable coach like Saban a Governor has too much say in either helping a friend keep a coaching job with a big contract that can donate or pushing a foe out of a coaching job with a big contract that didn’t donate.
I know we are not in the age of Huey Long, but any coach getting involved in a Governor’s campaign event right after getting contract extension & increased guarantee approved by a Board partially appointed by said Governor still can get taken the wrong way. Politics have been a thorn in LSU’s side for too long. If he had been supporting a candidate in a different state or even Presidential it would look like less of a conflict of interest. I am surprised Edwards even wanted him there for that very reason. As for Orgeron the more comfortable he is in his job security the more likely he is to do something wrong. It seemed like a bad idea for both.

It is certainly his right to do so but if O is going to step into politics like that, he has to be prepared to deal with what that brings. People who don't support his candidate are going to challenge him. And he can't get all huffy like he did at the presser when people start asking legitimate questions. And what if Edwards loses? Will the new governor penalize LSU football b/c the HC campaigned against him? I personally believe its a poor move on his part and represents poor judgment or bad advice or both.

I’m a state employee and every political season we get the emails from HR reminding us that it is explicitly forbidden to participate in political campaigning of any kind.
The question though is Orgeron a state employee in the traditional sense or is he technically classified in some way that exempts him from the rank and file employee political campaign restrictions?
