Making a lot of money, the ability to win a lot of games and fan support can cure a bunch of things in this world. I wouldn't just dismiss it by saying they can't coexist.

I think Wade was told to sit tight and wait out Alleva.

Alleva CAN be Fired for Cause:

A few important terms of ALLEVA'S contract with LSU below:

2. Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Administering, managing, and leading the Department of Athletics at LSU A&M (the Department) in such a manner as to reflect positively on LSU at ALL TIMES.
B. Administering, managing, and leading the Department in such a manner as to allow its athletic teams to effectively compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) play.

9. Termination: This Agreement may be terminated by the parties as follows:
A. Termination by LSU for Cause.
2. Commission of Material Violation
(i) the violation occurs or continues to occur after ALLEVA knew or should have known that it was about to occur or was occurring
4. Knowingly engaging in conduct which:
(i) displays a continual, serious disrespect or disregard for the mission of LSU
(ii) brings ALLEVA or LSU into public disrepute, or negatively impacts the reputation of LSU

LSU will lose A LOT of money if Alleva stays and Wade isn’t coaching here next year

Neither may survive it, but Alleva has the support of f*King Alexander, so he may very well weather the storm, at least for a while. I fear that Wade will never coach another game for LSU again. The fact that Alleva is back in the media spouting garbage again leads me to believe that either the negotiations that were going on behind the scenes didn't work out, or that they never happened in the first place. Alleva is in full CYA mode now. His objective is saving his own skin, not trying to find a way to bring Wade back. It's disgusting.

I agree. If the facts come out and show that wade didn’t do anything wrong, then alleva and f king must be removed. They should be removed anyway imo but it’s be duke lacrosse all over again if the yahoo sports article wasn’t accurate.
