I gotta say, I'm with SNL on this one. Davidson is right. If anything, the Catholic Church scandal is worse because it went on for so long, involved so many more children, and there were so many more adults involved in the cover-up.

Nothing should be done obviously but that doesn’t change the fact that outrage culture is a bit one sided and very selective. These same people saying that he can say whatever he wants because he’s right will get a man fired for saying that a transgendered person is mentally ill.

Poor Pete Davidson--he is one disturbed individual, and he deserves all of the pity that we can muster. Davidson's comments were alarmingly ignorant and bigoted, as is this post.

The implication is that there are legions of Catholics who are so blinded by their loyalty to the Catholic Church that they accept and defend the horrendous actions of priests and bishops in the church abuse scandals. In fact there are no Catholics who support the clergy abuse and the cover-up by the church hierarchy. There are Catholics who have a strong Catholic faith who continue to attend Mass and participate in Church activities and who condemn the actions of priests and bishops. But unlike individuals who are blinded by their support for R. Kelly (to the point of defending his indefensible actions), there are no Catholics who are not outraged by the actions of priests and bishops. To compare faithful Catholics--who are as outraged as everyone else by the failures of priests and bishops to address sexual abuse and who support serious legal sanctions against the perpetrators of this abuse and the resulting cover-up--to apologists of R. Kelly is outrageous. There are no Catholic Church apologists defending the indefensible actions of offending Catholic clergy.

Until the Catholic Church kicks out all the figs and pedos (I repeat myself) instead of just moving them somewhere else where they can rape a fresh batch of kids, then they should just shut-up and take their licks.

Nothing, because the Catholic Church doesn’t accept correction from the flock. You’ve got an organization that gives refuge to pedophiles, denies atrocities, and actively covers up incidents and has, now, a decades long track record of doing so.
So you tell me. How can a Christian of conscience stand to walk into a building of an orginization that covers up grown men arse fricking little boys? That pays out hush money.
