This is the team that was coached by Lester Ricard until he got fired 2 weeks into the season. I don’t know how much he had to do with their success. Not criticizing him.
So does this mean that Walker is now a hot mess that got blown up and needs to start over?

Walker was made decent 2-3 years ago.

Walker was made decent in football by their great 2018 class. They were better basketball players and they stuck together ever since middle school. They won the state championship in basketball and used their athleticism to be decent at football. I don't know how much the coaches had to do with any of that.

These kids can't catch a break. Now three head coaches since September.

Was not just 2018 or 19 class. 20 and 21 has some great athletes. School needs stability. Won't happen with st. Pierre. He wants to control the football program

It hasn't been but it could be. They could have been a pretty good team last year if Ricard didn't frick up.

The pay for coaches in Livingston parish is not good. They get a set fee above their teachers pay. Denham and live oak have booster clubs that allow to give coaches more. Walker can not have one even though numerous parents and businesses have tried.

From my understanding yes. It's been brought up numerous times. One of the aspects he could not control.
With that said, he is an amazing principal for the school. Very innovative and I am impressed with what he does. Just wish he would allow some things to help out the coaches.
Walker has several D1 prospects on team. I just hope they succeed. Three head coaches since September is hard on the kids.

That's a shame for the kids. Is this interim guy gonna end up being named permanent head coach, or are they opening this thing up?

No clue. Interim guy is Carmen Moore. Supposedly one hell of a coach in his day. Kids like him
