ESPN + SEC Network = $3 billion contract. bama = flagship product for $3 billion company. Unless the importance of money changes, bama will be ESPN's lap dog and vice versa.

Alabama is like the Clintons. Evidence is everywhere, but neither is going down.

Talking about PF. How does one person like PF get to host a SEC show from 2-6 PM. How many other sports talk shows last that long!!!!!!!

I can add to the Eddie Lacy thing, I went to highschool with his fat thug arse, and he legit drug a bean bag through the hallways, from class to class, and parked that sucker in the back and legit slept or jerked around in every class I had with him. If any teachers challenged him or dropped his grades bellow a B, his daddy would be at the school that day. We saw his daddy alot. Its a freakin joke.. how did that sack of potatoes make it through classes at Bama?!

there certainly is a chicken/egg question when it comes to saban. a number of successful assistants, then again, a lot of failures. it would be interesting to see him go back to a middle of the road program to see preparation and gameday coaching. I know he's improved over the years. you'd have to. i'll never say hes not in the upper echelon. he is. I sometimes wonder about the actual x's/o's and in game coaching versus having, by far, the deepest and most talented roster. he'll never want for anything with that roster.

I think that this is even truer for Univ of Texas. ESPN has hyped them as “being back” several times over the last few years only to have UT disappoint. I don’t feel like there is any appetite for the general public outside of the area around A&M to back that team.

I would have tuned in to hear that conversation. The other thing I noticed after the title game was how Saban and some of his top players/leaders were not complimentary at all about Clemson and their beatdown of the mighty Tide. That's the kind of culture Alabama has and I don't think it's good for anyone. On the other hand Clemson coach was uplifting, emotional, inspiring, and spiritual (albeit after a great win) which was AWESOME!

Won’t happen. Bama makes the SEC, NCAA, and television networks too much money.

If this was the case ND, USC, Mich and other such blue bloods would be getting more breaks.

CFB money is not tied to one school. The networks make just as much next year. If Bama is down and Auburn or LSU replaces them.

If SEC Network was fair, football would be slanted to Bama (it is), basketball would be slanted toward UK (it isn't),and baseball slanted to LSU (nope). They should also alternate daily, PF one day, T-Bob another, UF, UGA etc.

All the SEC schools presidents are concerned with is the check. Same nationwide.

I heard the caller and he was factual and well spoken. Everything he said was true.

The SEC Network is nothing more than a proxy Bama network. Finebaum and his show are nothing more than his old Birmingham based radio show put on TV complete with his staple of Bama callers such as "Phyllis from Mulga".

The ridiculous SEC East/West Division set up is one of the biggest scams ever
done by the SEC offices and is set up to benefit Bama.

When they set this division fiasco up with permanent cross over rivals what a coincidence that LSU & UF were put together. The 2 biggest threats to Bama
are paired off early in the season so one of them will automatically have a loss early each season. Bama oddly enough doesn't get matched with either UGA or UF and rarely rotates either on its' schedule and NEVER will have both on its' schedule in the same year as LSU does.

Bama said there were these "traditional games" such as Bama/Tinnersee, Auburn/UGA &
UF/UGA which MUST be preserved (Notice LSU/Ky was dumped but not LSU/UF).

If these so called "traditional games" were so all important then all the SEC had to do is put Bama and Aubie both in the SEC East. Then all the "special games" would have been maintained as Divisional games and the SEC would have the proper rotation of teams where you play everybody in the conference within a 4 year period.

All this was set up as a benefit to Alabama and they have benefitted greatly by this ridiculous set up for years.

The SEC needs to move its' offices from Alabama. If anyone says that it doesn't matter where the offices are set up then imagine how loud the whining and screaming would be from Bama and to a lesser degree Auburn if the move was proposed. The SEC (including the SEC Network) are Bama shills. Period.

you really think there's a huge conspiracy that involves many non Alabama affiliated people, which allows them to dominate? Basically you're saying that the SEC as a whole uses their power to allow one team to cheat in every way possible

It's not that surprising or outlandish. You should watch the SB Nation YouTube documentary called Paid in Mississippi. It focuses on Ole Miss and Miss St, but the general rule is that everyone cheats. The NCAA can get a hard on for you, though, and come to crack down on you like they did at Ole Miss. But if you have a best friend who's been looking out for you all your career who is now the head of the NCAA, you can act pretty much with impunity. Saban may or may not be a great coach, but he is definitely the beneficiary of friends in high places and a school that puts winning above all else. Wouldn't be shocked if a scandal occurred there on a near weekly basis and it just gets swept under the rug. I'm sure similar shite happens at LSU, we just can't pay quite as much or be sure of the fact that we won't be the victim of the next NCAA hammer.

This post is correct. Everything you stated above was set up by a Bama alum, including the Bridge Scheduling joke.

As for the other poster that mentioned Texas:

Yes, ESPN NEEDS UT to pick it up soon. The Longhorn Network is losing $$$.

As for the other posters that mentioned the Fluker incident: Same guy that took down Reggie Bush. Emmert is going to cover for Saban and the SEC. I'll leave it at that.

As an LSU fan, I would prefer to win like Clemson, not like Bama. Clemson also proves you don't have to stoop to Bama's level to beat them.

I think after watching some of the calls in the last few LSU games that LSU is now on the NCAA & SEC “WATCH” list....

You can't shite on the SEC under national scrutiny and have a major political figure from your state tell the SEC commish to kiss your arse on national TV while exposing the Bama bias without incurring the wrath of at least the SEC and probably the NCAA. We, as LSU fans, made them both look completely incompetent.
