Our government will have to figure out a way to tax them. Then they'll be all over the place.

These are pretty big in San Diego, which makes sense because of the type of people that live here and the amount of things you are able to do in such a small area.

I just don't see it working in Baton Rouge because of its population and how far everything is spread apart.

The whole point of them is they're GPS tracked. That's how you turn on the app and find one laying around the city and grab it to ride.

So yeah, they're lojacked by design.

Correct, they have GPS tracking on them.

You download the app and can track them anywhere within a few feet of them.

In San Antonio, the problem is that scooters are crowding sidewalks traditionally reserved for beggars.

You can easily take one to downtown from LSU and vice versa.

Southdowns, all the way to Pollard, can take these to the overpass bar area.

They go further than people realize. I see people essentially taking them across the city.

Also, recharging them for the company is like a dope fiends dream.

If they are the same way as here in SD, which I'm guessing they are, they give you like $15-$20 for each one you pick up and charge and place back out. The money is placed in your account either that day or the next, iirc.

I have a large inverter on my van already. I was thinking if they came here I could probably fit 4-5 in the van and charge them while going around the city and disperse them. Then I saw they had a rule where you couldn't use vehicles that advertised another business, so that cut out that plan.
