You people do realize that Ronda along with every other female professional fighter does the majority of their training with professional Male fighters? To my knowledge there are zero majority female fight camps.

A man regardless of size really with no experience would give virtually no resistance as Ronda throws them and then breaks their arm.

Yep. Those haymakers you think will knock her out...she’s just gonna bait you into throwing them until you have nothing left. And you probably won’t land s single one at least not cleanly. I mean this is what she trains to do...exploit weakness in the fight game.

And I’m not some female apologist by any means but an untrained male doesn’t have much of a chance here.

I could never hit Ronda Rousey.

But I'd shake the shite out of her.

In reality is the average guy with no fight experience even going to throw a haymaker? They would likely get tossed before they even realized what was happening

Her training, fitness and quickness would end most normal men before it could get interesting

So, what you're saying is the much larger and physically stronger brother could exert his will on the smaller and physically weaker brother, and the smaller brother tried to execute a maneuver that should incapacitate the larger brother, but the size and strength advantage the larger brother enjoyed rendered the attempt futile?
I wasn’t a professional fighter, genius.

I didn’t read this entire thread but my take: I don’t care who the woman is, an average man would beat her down. That’s just the way it is.

Andy Kaufman used to beat women professional “wrestlers” and that dude was a weinie.

She looks bigger or at least the same size as those dudes.

Miesha tate is 5'7" and 135 lbs.

The average man is not that size.

Miesha Tate was probably walking around at 155 back then. She fought at 135 and most fighters cut 20 ish lbs.

No they wouldnt. Shes a judo champ, she has practiced and trained for years to throw someone off their feet that's bigger than her. Shed do it a few times to your friends and they wouldnt want an more.

The premise of your argument is that a person that trains incessantly and is paid to fight would beat most men who don't train regularly or fight, are older and live sedentary lives.

That probably sounded more impressive in your head.

Yes, she would beat a great many men, but she would also come across a bunch of "average" guys who would whip her azz and she would be the first to admit it.

I still don't understand this compulsion to try and compare apples and oranges.

Men and women are different, and as others have said, if you took that "average" guy and trained him for a year, he would beat the cat zhit out of Rousey.

Here's a more impressive thought: Take the guy ranked #5,000 as a 165lb pounder in MMA and he would be able to destroy the greatest female fighters/athletes who ever lived without breaking a sweat.

That's actually a little more impressive.

In a fight between two men a month of training in jiu jitsu will offset about 10 pounds. I have seen 150 pound blue belts absolutely destroy 200 pound guys in a fist fight, but there is a limit. And not getting knocked out before you can get the other guy in the clinch is always a concern.

A female with Rousey's training could probably take out an untrained man up to 170 pounds. If the weight gap is any greater he will just be able to smash her, and negate the leverage. He could still make a bad move and end up with a broken arm, but he would have opportunity to win.

Yeah.
every womens sport does that.
Back when LSU was going to final fours every year in womens basketball, they'd get their arse kicked in practice by a couple of chumps from the rec.

One of the dumbest statements in this thread that has gone on for far too long.
That's like saying whoever the best male MMA fighter is could beat up a gorilla b/c the male has technique blatta blatta blatta.

It's been shown time and time again that the greatest woman ever isn't better than average men. Women will never be able to overcome the physicality of a man. Doesn't matter what sport it is, the man will always be quicker, faster, and stronger, and so much so, that he will be able to beat her at said sport simply b/c her expert technique cannot win over his superior athleticism.

This is one of the funniest threads I have ever read on TD. I’m going to admit, I have no clue how this proposed average man vs Rousey fight would go. I just love that on both sides of this argument everyone is so sure and passionate. I can only conclude that one side is right and one side is wrong. Then again, maybe you’re all idiots.
