sean Salisbury will be hired as an analyst and will lead us to the promise land with his superb QB coaching and winning the gray cup experience he has as a player.

Fire Ensminger and you will have the same problems you had this year. The surest way to decimate this program is to have a constant turnover at the HC and coordinator positions. Build stability, recruit and see how it pans out.

but his replacement value isn't so high over other good-elite DCs that we'd fall off that badly

That might be true, but do you trust Ed to make the hire?

Only if we hire a guy like Cameron with a complicated offense

Go air raid. It's simplicity is a major selling point

Seriously people forget that Rosenthal and Hines were a high 4*/5* OL prospects that wanted to play DT. Orgeron made then realize where they would make their $.

Rosenthal, Thomas, and hopefully Ingram added to Charles, Hines, Lewis, Cush, Deculus, Magee should give us a deep talented OL.

Think our best combo would eventually be
Rosenthal
Ingram
Hines
Lewis
Charles

With Cush, Thomas, and Deculus providing solid depth. I like Cush’s effort but just don’t think he is as talented as the others. He was really exposed against Bama and MSU.

do we keep E?

No.

We have too many vowels for coach abbreviations.

And watch the QB get sacked 12 times each game? No thanks.

Go ahead and explain to me why I should be confident in Orgeron hiring a legitimately good defensive coordinator

I don't give a frick what you are. You are an unmitigated dumbass if you don't think that they can bring in a good DC.

No thanks on Air Raid.

Spread, fine. But Hal Mumme Air Raid, LOL no.

Bring in Hugh Freeze or Kendall Briles as OC. Move E back to TEs.

I think that's the dream, with Kardell possibly replacing Lewis in time

"Air raid" just means whatever Leach and his progeny are running now, which includes the Briles offense

This looks like a good football discussion and the sec rant is nothing but trolling right now so I hope posters can look beyond the script A. For those that want to change the direction or style of offense to a more modern brand of RPO do you have the type personnel to make that change. I’m not taking about talent. That you have in spades but can your OL change the type of blocking schemes they’re used to. Can Borrow be mobile enough to run the RPO yes I know he had a great game running last night but this would be an every week thing where teams can adjust. I will say this Hurts is gone and has improved tremendously. I’d hate to see him at LSU but that may be a directiin O has to go is a grad transfer that can run that if LSU chooses to go that direction. Just a thought.

A&M and UF will be better next year. Auburn will likely improve too.

Texas will be better. LSU could easily lose 4 games next year.

Wrong. Unless things change with our current system, 11-1 is not achievable.
The last two seasons proved that.

Right. Mike Leach Air Raid is for the birds.

Power Spread like Briles or Freeze I’m all about.

If Aranda leaves (as I expect him to and as the O apologists want) we are a 5-7 loss team.

you overrate the frick out of Aranda

Basically, he's suggesting Aranda (Clear Top 5 coordinator in CFB IMO) is worth ~3 wins per year. Maybe he is exaggerating, but if you take our below average offense, throw in our typical depth issues, and implement an average or even below average DC (worst case: Malaveto?), this team can definitely have a losing season.

We’ll probably yet again beat some bad teams, beat some decent teams, beat a really good team or two, lose a couple games we really shouldn’t, of course lose to Bama, and then play in some listless bowl game.
