Maybe but he’s still the only coach in the staff worth a shite.

but his replacement value isn't so high over other good-elite DCs that we'd fall off that badly

lots of good DCs out there. Aranda is better than the vast majority of them but he's not so elite we'd crater without him because the gap between him and our options was so vast. hell just look at TAMU. they whiffed on Aranda and got Elkso who is great. we'd likely make a similar exchange

O has the coaches he wants. "They all say, 'Yes Sir'" now. There won't be any coaching changes unless Aranda leaves for another job. Then O will assign himself the DC role like he did at Ole Miss.

I don’t know enough about O-Line coaching to know if Cregg is a good coach or not.

I think our line talent is weak, which wouldn’t be his fault since he’s new.

What are people’s opinions of him?

Busch

Why are you blaming Busch? Delpit has been amazing hell he was already good and took a huge step forward. Ed Paris and John Battle are seniors, Bill had nothing to do with. Todd Harris had no experience coming into this season and Eric Monroe was projected to be starting but was hurt the whole year.

Our cornerbacks fricked us over. Vincent and Alexander

Ensminger
Joseph
Sullivan
Robinson
Cregg

Should all be history

I think O should seriously consider getting rid of Meatball and getting a dedicated DL coach.

Get young qualified recruiter/coaches in here who can fricking pull their weight and aren’t your BFFs

I also desperately want a QB coach

There’s an article on al.com about Dan Enos at Alabama. Saban and Tua and Hurts absolutely rave about how important Enos has been and how having a QB coach separate from the OC has made a huge difference.

LSU fans are chicken littles with inferiority complexes.

No. We will be favored to win every game except for Alabama and possibly @ Texas. I think @ Texas is 50/50 game. 11-1 is the ceiling with 10-2 likely. We will be ranked in the top 10 to start the year.

Fans either get way too attached to the current coordinators or want to run them out of town, no middle ground.

That’s the question though, would we? O’s hiring has been questionable. Would he hire another Elko type or one of his buddies?

Administration won’t sign off on 3 OCs in 3 years.

Why does this keep getting perpetuated? Would an AD (even one as lousy as Alleva) at a major school like LSU realistically stand in the way of a head coach replacing an $800k OC? Especially in light of the fact that we're no longer on the hook for Miles and Canada?

If Ensminger stays, it's because Orgeron wants him.

Compared to what? Not having a DC at all?

You trust Orgeron to make that hire?

This. Tracy was huge this season.

Ironically, had he made that one that hits the upright, all is well in Tigerland this morning.

Alleva nixed a nutrition center that was 100% funded by donations purely because of optics

Yes, Alleva would veto this. I’m 100% certain.

Aranda leaves (as I expect him to and as the O apologists want) we are a 5-7 loss team.

This year is as good as it gets under Ed

This is the dumbest shite i've ever heard on this board. Nobody wants Aranda gone. People are simply pointing out your monumental hypocrisy.
