We’ll probably yet again beat some bad teams, beat some decent teams, beat a really good team or two, lose a couple games we really shouldn’t, of course lose to Bama, and then play in some listless bowl game.

Looks about right................

Next year's team will be head and shoulders better than this team.

It'll start in the top ten.

The addition of Rosenthal to the mix should improve the left side of the line immediately. Add Kardell if he's ready. Lewis, wire and Hines.

The offensive line play will be night and day compared to this season.

Emery and Davis will bring running back play back to elite status.

Wide receivers can't help but improve. Some of the younger guys were starting to look better at the end.

Burrow after a year in will be good.

The defense will again be nasty.

I don't understand how anyone wouldn't be excited for next season.

I think your overeating him also.
I almost want to go back to a 4-3
His defense never gets pressure.
Unless he recruits top of the line olb I don't love his defense

Without Tracy, we don’t beat Auburn or Georgia.

2019 Outlook

Another 9-3 season at best, and possibly more likely 8-4.

Whoa. Whoa. You’re not allowed to have somewhat of a positive outlook. There will be plenty of people here shortly to ridicule your outlook

Outlook should never change, 10+ wins and a New Year's day bowl or better, should challenge and win SEC

The "analysts".

There has not been one iota of proof that these people do ANYTHING to make the team better.

They don't, not inherently.

If you were a crappy coach before having analysts, you'll be a crappy coach with analysts.

Saban's results far predate him building these huge shadow staffs. He likely realized that he needed to reduce the time burden of game preparation as he gets up there in age. All he's doing is outsourcing the work that he used to do himself.

If you weren't already crunching numbers and employing advanced analysis then analysts aren't going to be of great utility to you.

Analysts are there to free up time for coaches to recruit

They do all the film work and tendency analysis so locksley and lupoi don't have to, etc

Add Todd Harris to that. I like his progress.

Also, any chance Ed Alexander leaves? Injury prone- but huge physical presence. Probably wouldn’t be smart..... but, given our history of Jrs leaving early I’m not sure “smart” is always a factor in the decisions.

This. Tracy was huge this season.

I think Tracy was so good that he became a negative for us. We started playing for FGs in critical games down the stretch and lost aggression. Not Tracy's fault, but our red zone play calling is atrocious. In 4OT last night, we played like pussies.

Not sure what would make any of these guys think they are ready to go pro. They had good seasons but nothing spectacular.

And that's a great reason to have them.

I just never got the guys that thought we'd be able to match wits with Saban because of analysts.
