Yeah but the same thing was said last year and they absolutely destroyed Neville. Lakeshore has a legitimate offense especially with Jacob Bernard.

Ehrets OC had no time with them either this summer. He was hired in mid July. Was the record setting OC for Riverside last few years. He’s a good coach too

With 50 seconds left, Ehret’s QB gets hurt ( Ehret coaches don’t know the kid has to sit out a play, lol). The hustle and put in another kid who throws a Hail Mary where the back judge gets in the way of the defender which is caught for the winning TD.

Also on the play he appeared to be sacked, but no whistle. He spins out and heaves it. The video is blurry, hard to see. Looks like he spins off the defender on the ground.

That leads me to a question for choupiquesushi. Do you see the college and NFL game lead to bad calls at the high school level? What I mean is those refs are told to let plays like that go because replay can fix a bad call whereas if they blow the whistle it can’t be fixed. So have you seen Hs refs swallow their whistle on close plays, but there’s no replay for backup?

Not really jJ
On a play like that white hat would have had a very good line of sight view of that and actually I. Protecting the passer if need be whistle would be quicker.

Officials should be slower with heir whittle to avoid prematurely downing a player or an IW...the act of the ball carrier being down kills the play regardless of when the whistle does

I should be able to get acces to hudl on that play and will take a look

If the player is still making forward progress or has a clear chance to escape - no whistle

For me as an official I pay very little attention to NCAA and even less to nfl

Watching the EA sideline, I think it was the correct call. Just wondering if you see some carry over from the weekend.

Catholic New Iberia 21
Country Day 19
Half

Catholic was up 21-6 late in the second quarter but Country Day scored two touchdowns in the final two minutes. They went for a 2pt conversion but failed

Justin Ibieta C/O 2020

LSU and USC have been in contact and have visited campus. He has a big decision to make in the next couple years. All district small forward and an all state pitcher/3rd baseman/shortstop.

Threw for 5 TDs and ran for 3 tonight

Talked to the head baseball coach last night, he said he thinks he'll play all three throughout high school. but it looks like he'll play football the next level.

And to the basketball point, he played AAU through this summer, and I don't think Coach Mike McGuire is going to like it if his all district small forward quits. Especially considering they have a very good shot at winning their 2nd state championship in 3 years, and going for a 6th straight final four appearance

Yes I did have the same view. Does the receiver not have the right to come back for the ball? The db ran into the receiver while he stopped to catch the ball. That is PI all day long it wasnt even close.

Also on the final drive the Union QB hurdled a defender and hit his helmet with his foot. Once out of bounds he was hit by a Sterlington player. They flagged the qb back for "kicking" the player in the head.
