we don’t feed the post enough.

That part of the game is slowly disappearing. It's all but gone in the NBA. Teams want to spread the floor and not clog the lane. Pull the bigs away from the rim and allow penetration from the perimeter. The two alley oops from Water to Williams is the result of spacing.

I'm sure they'll post up some to take advantage of mismatches. But posting up a big on the low block every possession seems to be a thing of the past.

Agreed. Naz is so good away from the basket that it is almost counterintuitive to just have him camp out down low and clog up the lane. The other team’s best big is going to have to come out and cover him and will get beat anyway, but opening up that lane does a lot of good things for us.

Agree here, the only true low post player we have is KBW. Reid is clearly an inside out player. Williams is a scrapper. Days is a scrapper but also loves to fire up a 3.

We just have some versatility with most of our bigs. It's pretty clear we are running closer to an NBA offense than old school college offense. They give KBW some looks on that low block and he has taken advantage.

It's almost a disservice to Reid to try and just let him post up and feed it to him. The dude can pick and pop 3's for crying out loud

Also as mentioned above it forces their probably biggest guy on the floor to come way out and guard Reid which most bigs are very uncomfortable doing.

I do miss the days of Kevin McHale, Ewing and Olajuwon doing work on the low blocks though.

Really wish we could get a home and home! Tech always struggles to get power 5 teams to come. And plus gives north Louisiana fans a chance to see them play

Let’s make a ban bet. Tech loses and you go away

I see what you’re saying here and it makes a lot of sense. But I figured when we played teams that don’t have a lot of size we might revert back to the old school style to take advantage. I do like spreading the floor against the better teams though and taking advantage of our bigs abilities to shoot.

Woah! You can not say with confidence that Tech has had the best program consistently in the state! The SEC is completely different from the C-USA! It’s a different ball game. yeah you have Western Kentucky, north Texas & UAB. Cool story! Please make a different argument.

Tech is a good team. Fans need to show up and support the team. Tigers need a big win Friday night then get ready for some great news Wednesday

There's a reason why they were the only in state school we wouldn't schedule... LA Tech was the last in state school that beat us for a long time.
They have been a more consistent program lately.

I've watched them play two games. Louisiana Tech is my favorite mid major team. They regularly win 20+ games and finish on the outside looking in of the NCAA tournament. They're well coached and have some decent talent. They're definitely not a team to overlook, but I'd be surprised if LSU doesn't win by 15+20 points. LSU will have to show up though. Tech is known for being a scrappy team that won't let up. They are probably a top 4 team in CUSA and have a shot at winning it. They always seem to fall short at the end of the season though.
