Not a wedding, but a wedding shower. Friend of ours got obnoxiously drunk. They had a cake with an edible picture of bride and groom covering the top of the cake. The drunk friend cut the piece off with the bride's crotch and said "I'm gonna eat (insert name)'s pussy."

Her parents were mortified.

ETA: The night before my wedding we were all partying at the Village in Sandestin and I got drunk and knocked out my best man. The next morning I woke up in a hotel room alone and had no idea where I was. When I finally got in touch with him, he said "it's a good thing you hit like a girl or you would've broken my jaw." Good times.

I got a little "gropey" with the mother of the bride once after I had been drinking. People noticed and I got called out for it. Sometimes I do stupid stuff when I drink....what can I say. But my wife gets all mad at me and complains that it "ruined our wedding day"

So I was the best man in a wedding where the groom went up to his new mother and in law and she went to give him a kiss on the cheek. Well in his drunken state, he thought it would be cute to turn into it, their lips met, lingered and it turned into a full tongue kiss right in front of the videographer. MIL reached to video guy to make sure the evidence got destroyed. The videographer, who is a good friend of mine, later showed me the evidence and you could clearly hear me saying as it was happening, “That’s so hot I need to find a corner to beat off in.”

What was the fight about?

We were all pretty decent acquaintances. Most of the groomsmen brought GFs or wives, but a couple were there solo. The instigator thought another groomsman was a bit too handsy with his date, kinda got in his face, so we separated them.

They were mean mugging one another from about 10 yards away when the instigator decided he'd had enough. He takes off full speed to spear the other groomsman. Meanwhile, the groom was involved in the original separation, sees the guy running toward the other groomsman, and blindsides him right before he got there. The groom's two brothers are half arse paying attention and see their brother tackle the guy, so they jump in to help him. A couple other groomsmen get involved trying to stop it but it's just a melee of elbows and fists on the ground. The groom caught his own brother on the temple and cut him with a ring. Fight finally breaks up and the matron of honor comes out with a profanity-laced rant and essentially kicks everyone out of the rehearsal dinner area (on the same grounds we were staying and where the wedding would actually be).

I remember the events well because myself and two other lazy arse groomsmen didn't move during the ordeal

AH just remembered another one...I was a best man at my buddies wedding, and his bride had the worst trashiest friends I've ever met. They were so petty and dramatic, that they each pitched a fit over not being maid of honor while she was deciding so she kinda never told either of them no. As you can imagine this had to come to a head and did after the rehearsal when everyone was drunk. It was 1:00 in the morning and the bride called me crying her eyes out... She was staying with one of these girls the night before and the two had gotten into a fight, were cursing at each other and packing their bags to leave.... me and the guys divided and conquered calming each of them down and taking the bride away from that shite...We settled it to the point where at least the wedding happened and the girl who eventually was deemed maid of honor gave a 10 minute cringe packed speech about how important she was to the bride. We pulled our boy aside and politely mentioned how it would be a good idea to relocate away form her friends and family...I'm happy to report they have.

best man was drunk as frick and during his toast mentioned how the bride used to whore around before settling down with the groom.

Was awkward as frick for a good 2 or 3 minutes after that.

I wonder if shes drunk because she thinks she settled for a man she doesn't really care for, but needs a steady paycheck.

Bride yacked in the parking lot of the prairieville wedding venue we went to years ago. It was one of the trashiest things I’ve seen in my life. Girl in a wedding dress puking between two parked cars

Before my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner (oh, the shite women think up), he got plastered and said he didn't want to go through with it. He got so belligerent that he ripped a countertop right out, nails sticking out.

His friend told him to simply back out, but he did not. He went to the dinner shite-faced and made a fool of everyone.

The marriage didn't last long and they have a proxy battle using their child. Awful.

One of my cousins got mad at us during the reception a because we didn't have alcohol. He went to his car to bring his own booze in and my FIL stopped him and we kicked him out. Some people can't have a good time without getting drunk. If I knew it was that important to him I would have left him off the list.

Well it was a day about love and commitment. Not about getting drunk.

to you and you're wife... the reception is about treating your loved ones to a reception as they just participated in the biggest day in YOUR life. They didn't have to be a part of it and sit through your ceremony, but they did. Not providing them something is a dick move.

Agreed you should at least offer something for people who enjoy a drink.

Honestly this is why alcohol at weddings is a bad idea. How many lives and reputations need to be ruined for people to wake up. Just look at the answers in this thread.
