My dog is 11 and won't go up the stairs anymore.
My cat has been missing a few days. He's 13. I think he went for the long walk.

I’ve heard the saying that dogs give you lots of awesome days and one really bad one.
So just try to remember the good ones. Losing a pet fricking sucks.

When the vet presents you with the price of putting your dog down, show no emotion.
When your vet asks you for your driver's license, make sure you give him a copy, and not the original.
Also, when he presents you with the bill you're going to need to tell him 'that's simply too much' and walk away. Do not offer how much you are willing to spend. Remain silent.
Make sure that you shop at least 5 different veterinarians and receive quotes on the euthanasia before you commit to one.
Ask to see the cost of the poison that he uses to kill your dog. Any reputable vet will show you an invoice. If he/she doesn't, leave immediately.
Before you accept the vet's price for killing your dog, make him throw in some free shite. Say 'if I allow you to kill my dog, I expect 5 free nights of boarding in the future'.
Once you've negotiated the fee to kill your dog and are satisfied, be sure to recommend this vet to your friends and family.

Current dog is on the right. Had to put the one on the left down last year. Incredibly painful experience for the family.

Well. I found my cat. He decided to go to neighbors back yard and paid the price. Poor thing. He was older. Got turned into a dog toy.
He was already maggotty, so o couldn't bring him in, had to bury him. Haven't told the kids yet.
Those dogs have killed many strays and even two puppies they bought. Mean things.
Though it is their property.
Im not upset

My dog is 8 years old. She's probably about halfway done with her life, as amazing as that seems.

Sorry about this....My oldest will turn 12 this month. Her heart is enlarged and she is having a tough time catching her breath. However, she still has a healthy appetite and wants to go on walks but it's tough to watch. I dread that day.
