Anyone else had issues with the premix stuff you can buy at Walmart. My blower refuses to run on this stuff. I’ve tried it with 3 different cans, I always have to end up dumping it out and going back with regular gas oil mix.

No telling how long that stuff sits on the shelf. It probably turned to varnish.

Yea I work on them sometimes, just use the regular gas oil mix, it’s the best way. Using non ethanol gas for small engines is best as well.

This works just fine with my echo weed eater.

that stuff is a ripoff. I've ran a weed eater and chainsaw with gas and a splash of motor oil my entire life

I use it a lot and it works fine. It runs a little rich. Hard to run things at low or half throttle. Wide open = no problem.

Yes. Used it one time in the Stihl Weedeater and Echo Blower. Both stopped working the same day. Never again.

We used to see some issues with it from time to time. It would make a glaze over the carb diaphragm and make it hard as a rock. Not all the time but every time we saw that happen it was when someone used pre-mix.

I still don't understand why there's a market for the stuff. Like $5 gets you a gallon of non-ethanol premium gas and Stihl synthetic mixing oil. It feels like it solves a problem that was really never there

I mix my own and use an additive that is suppose to neutralize the ethanol.

I have all echo stuff.

No issues -- ever.

Yep, fouls the plug and will barely run at idle.

They make different mixes for different brands. are you sure you are using the correct fuel for your engine requirements?

I had some regular mixed fuel go bad and frick up my string trimmer a couple of years ago....switched to the tru fuel and have not had a single problem since. It has two year shelf life once opened and almost unlimited while sealed.

Something is wrong with your blower then. I use gas/oil mix during the season for my trimmers and blower then run the last tank of the season on TruFuel. My chainsaws are run on TruFuel then emptied before storage after use. Zero varnish problems, zero fouling. I use Stihl Ultra 2-stroke oil with 93 octane fuel and marine Stabil when I mix. Echo Red Armor is very good too. Pre-mixed aren't gasoline based, they use a much more stable distillate that doesn't varnish like gasoline will if any is left in the carburetor during storage. I've rehabbed an old Echo hedge trimmer with the stuff and I've made my dad switch over to it too since he almost killed his Husqvarna trimmer with his fuel/oil mixing method.

I use it exclusively.

Two years no carb issues. Was having starting and running issues yearly until the switch.

Two gallons a year is all I need.

Will gladly pay the price xtra

It’s funny because most the mfg test with this stuff.
True fuel was the first one to hit the market.
When they test them they actually run hand held products 5 days a week 8 to 10 hours a day in the field. After a few weeks they take random test by bringing in units and tearing them down or sending some to emissions testing. I been to the testing facilities and they exclusively run truefuel for their test.

When I recommended it to customers I rarely if ever see those units come back for fuel related issues. I have seen a few issues people have 4 strokes that someone put 2 stroke premixed fuel in.

99% of the problems I see with hand held product mowers, riders, and zero turns is with ethanol fuel separating even after using a fuel stabilizer or sticking from fuel stabilizer in the fuel. I would rather people use ethanol it has made me rich and I still make a lot of money off my shops fixing these issues.

i have an old echo blower that i've been limping along on gas/oil for several years. it is very cold natured and sometimes just won't run up to full throttle. i switched to trufuel, and it starts every time with little or no choke, and idles immediately. no problems running up to full throttle. it's worth $20 per year not to fight it. chain saw runs much better on it too.

Didn’t even know they sold such stuff. Why would you not mix you own? If someone lacks the ability to do this they probably shouldn’t be operating any type of equipment.

Seems silly to pay that much more for gas.

Get 93 octane ethanol free, put stabilizer in it and mix it yourself.
Very easy to do.
I also write the date I got the gas on a label on the can.

I'll have to ask my grounds keeper if he has ever had these issues
