How has Tiger Woods 2009 US Open win not been mentioned?

Guy won with a broken leg

Wasn’t his ACL torn too?

This is easily the winner regardless.

It doesn't top the list but I remember Steve DeBerg playing QB with a metal pin sticking out of the top of broken left pinky finger. I cringed when they showed the finger and then a close up of him taking a snap.

Not good at all but I still remember Fred Thomas, CB for Saints back around 06-07 playing with a cast on his arm after he broke it. He was a guy that was good then hit around 30 and went to shite fast but I remember a game where he deflected 2-3 passes with his cast

Terrell Davis with migraines, wasn’t that in the SB?

Mohammad Ali finished a fight vs Ken Norton Sr. with a broken jaw.

Also, for your non typical story, a guy I knew in high school finished a football game at nose tackle on what turned out to be a broken ankle. The guy was one of those people who was just mean to the bone, the would hurt himself to hurt you type. He ended up in prison and eventually dead young, before 50, possibly even before 40, if i recall correctly.

2008 US Open

Honorable mention: when Rich Peverly died on the Dallas Stars bench and when he came to in the locker room, he wanted to get back out there for his next shift

Mine is Tommy Hodson, freshman season in 1986 at Kentucky. Bit through his tongue. Went into the locker room and had it sewn up. Played the rest of the game calling plays with a busted tongue.

Rashad Johnson and Ronnie Lott have both ripped off dangling fingertips and continued the game. While not the same as a broken leg, that just screams badass to me
