Don’t feel that way at all, if anything I wish I had more time with my daughter even though I do spend a lot of time with her everyday.

She’s 2, but I know time flies.

What a dumb woman. Wah See my friends Instagram and get so jealous!

Newsflash if she stayed single and no kids she would be bitching because she can't find a good man to settle down with or some other dumb shite.

And I’m sure her husband is super stoked about being chained to her selfish and ungreatful arse.

I wonder if there are any parents here who feel similarly.

I don't regret having a child at all, but I totally see where she is coming from and I only have one. I can't imagine a life with three children.

Just this morning I was saying to my husband I miss the days when I didn't have to wake up 2 hours before I needed to leave the house. And some days I really miss going to a spontaneous after work happy hour instead of going home to wash endless bottles and laundry. And I for sure miss sleep, I am anxiously waiting for the first night my child sleeps through the night. But even with all that, I don't regret it one bit. I'd still say being a parent is one of the best things that has happened to me.

The grass is always greener....

Honestly, kids can suck because of the day to day grind with them, especially little ones, but sacrifice and selflessness are better qualities to have than the "it's all about me" single people. When those people age and find out that they are bored with the shallow life they are living, they will regret their choices at some point. Same with the married mom who decides she wants out. If they divorce they will usually find out they are not happy with the new life they chose.

We are all made to be never satisfied with your own lot in life. As has been said, social media exacerbates this to the nth degree now.

Well not shite being single and flying around is fricking awesome. I sacrifice a shitload for my children and my wife who is staying home currently to educate and raise them. It's tough work.

But NOTHING compares to hearing the word dad or seeing their jubilation when I walk through the door. The hugs. The kisses. The baseball. The swimming. Watching movies and eating popcorn. Picnics.

Nothing. I can't think of anything that would be as satisfying. Sure having awesome trips and shite are fun but it fades.

Love for my children will never fade.

I also don't have Facebook anymore..... It causes nothing but disaster on many levels....I work at a plant. Tons of bad arse trucks. Four wheelers. Boats.. I have a used work truck I bought and my wife drives a minivan which I love.

I worked in a bar for seven years. It was awesome. Party central. What else I saw is what happens when the enemy of jealousy and envy creep in. So many people coming in with sob story after sob story. Broken marriages. Kids all fricked up because of it. Most from being selfish or jealous and having themselves a midlife crisis. Dreaming about greener pastures.

Well you get over there and end up choking to death on the grass...

Comparison is truly the thief of JOY

This is something a lot of older people like to parrot, and it’s ridiculous.

Envy isn’t a new phenomenon. Social media is simply another facilitator of envy. Along with...you know, going out in public and seeing other people.

As someone who is young, childless, in shape (and handsome - if I'm being honest) and has lots of free time, I can't relate to her struggle in any way, but I found this article interesting and insightful. I wonder if there are any parents here who feel similarly.

Check back in 30 yrs when you look around at other old people while you or the taxpayers are covering the bill for the company you keep b/c nobody WANTS to hang around your miserable arse.

I'll be old as frick and rewarding my grandkids with $10 bills for eagerly sneaking me beers at Easter while their parents chide me for mixing beer with my fluid pills.

My first thought too... but then I saw the husband and mortgage stuff. Kibbles husband split after spitting on her and she lives in apartments.

Oh and as if that mom hadn't had children she'd be still skinny and writing bestselling books. In reality she's probably a secretary for some dentist and still fat.

Kid-less is the way to go. People just make happy little mistakes as Bob Ross would put it and rationalise it.

SM catapults envious feelings more than just getting out in public.

People love to post vacations and glamorous shite.
