It was the go ahead run. There was 1 out so if Sanchez was ruled out then that would have been the 2nd out and we don't get the insurance run as Weinberger would have been the 3rd out on the FC.

Got it. Thanks. So that was a huge call and I would be pissed if I were the Cajuns because the melt is definitely warranted. She looked out to me from the picture.

So if the call is out, LSU wins 2-1 instead of 3-1?
No. The safe call at the plate would have been the second out of the inning had the call gone the other way with the score remaining tied 1-1 and a runner on third base.

The next batter hit into a force play at second that would have been the third out meaning the runner on third would not have scored ending the inning with the score tied 1-1.

That's when the ULLLL coach lost his composure and got tossed.

Sunseri walked first
then Schulte hit into the force to get Weinberger out at 2nd. Your point still stands as they would have gotten out of the inning without giving up a run.

I don't understand how anyone can say one way or the other based on this pic.

The photo you posted is not demonstrative of anything. It’s blurry and there is no possible way to absolutely state the tag was actually made before the hand reached the plate.

The Cajun girls played hard and should be congratulated on their effort. Sometimes the bang bang plays go for you and sometimes they go against you. If you think the LSU fans have never had a play of that type go against them, you would be seriousply mistaken.

Needs to be 10% blurrier for a good judgment.

You can clearly see the glove touching the leg. There is no space between the glove and her pants, and the glove is actually bending as she is pressing it on her pants leg.

You can clearly see her hand reaching for the plate, and she is not touching the plate

Don't do this man. You guys played a great tournament. The call didn't go your way, nothing can be done. Nothing said here will change your mind, so keep being classy.

The LSU fan that started this thread was a douche. Don't become like him in this thread.

The runner got tagged on the chest, not the leg. Was the hand on the plate by then, I don't know.

Just shut up and be thankful the LSU left fielder slipped on a routine fly ball allowing the Cajun girls one more game this season.

It’s touching her knee cap.

Can't tell from that pic, but I was sitting right above the play and I can tell you that at this point the tag had not been applied she did not touch the runner until she touched her on the chest just below the neck.

I would like to say thank you to the group of fans in section 104.... A few of your fans were chanting during our alma mater and a group of cajun fans in the front row asked your fans to quiet down and be respectful. I thought it was a real classy move by those fans and it was noticed and much appreciated

You can't tell from that pic if she was safe or out. If the LF doesn't slip in the first game it would of never came to this. Took a freak play to happen for the Cajuns to survive.

Even here in the pic, I don't think the mit is on her yet. - Safe
