That was bad. Looked like he was ready to make a birdie.

If the Pony doesn’t drop in the water he could’ve been final pairing tomorrow

Jason has made all 172 putts 5’ and less this year. That is amazing.

He’s 92% 10’ and in, and hitting 230 yard 7 irons, life is good.

I heard them say during yesterday's telecast that the hitting distance for today's 7 iron is the same as yesteryear's 5 iron. I think 5 iron might be too conservative.

Pony is a douche. Quit trying to outsmart 140 years of golf.

Most of the issues is that the pros of yesterday sung the club so much slower. I can promise you that Sam Snead could hit a 5 iron (in today's loft) 220 yards if he wanted to really swing at it.

Loaded field for the week before the players. Greens are firm and fast, so long iron play will be key with how long the course is. Kinda like Jason Day as a contrarian play. Hits it long with a high trajectory which should help on the firm greens.

they're not hitting it 230 in the air, most of the time ... they're hitting it 200 ... phil's 7 iron yesterday or the day before on 17 (?) flew about 200 ... maybe a little more, but it was downwind ... bounced and rolled 20-25 yards after hitting ... and today's lofts are not the same as yesteryear's lofts ...
