If they get their top choices:
Joseph: committed
3 of the following 4
Surtain
Goodrich
Chase
Foster

8 or 9, which is plenty good with the kicker scholly, JUCO adds, and meeting the biggest need areas of OL and DL.

Or what?
It will be another of getting excited for nothing. Everyone hypes of certain years that they will be number one and then it doesn't happen and you people bitch when people complain it wasn't a top class.

I briefly took a look at the 2019 player rankings and UGA and the Texas schools are going to show out in the next cycle. LSU could hit on all the big targets and still be #6/7.

Looks like LSU’s fifth or sixth year of signing a “fills the needs” class.

Only getting 2 of those 4 and either Washington or Beal, IMO. Class will finish around 10-13.

Not even close. The lines were neglected for almost 4 years.

Although this year was a relatively extreme example, every year has positions of need to be filled for every school.

or it's just a nice way of saying LSU isn't keeping up with the elite sec schools bama/uga.

yes, but at LSU when our positions of need are skilled guys, we do better as that is what Louisiana produces a surplus of (except qb's of course)

Which is why it was laughable when people say we were going to get the number one class in 2019

From most reports, this 2018 class should meet most of the team's needs, with a possible question mark at defensive back.
Next year's class should be outstanding, since we know how strong the group of Louisiana high school seniors are.
