That is the issue the memo addresses.

What the FBI did was Hooveresque. Hoover abused the power of the agency and Lynch and Comey did too at the bequest of HRC.

Democrats were outraged at Hoover and should be outraged today.

That party sure has changed for the worse.

Hell to the No. GWB created this Monster and Obama used it for the purpose civil libertarians fear.

This is why FISA needs to be eradicated.

This is part of the Patriot Act. It NEEDS TO GO.

If the Federal Government wants to listen to my phone calls, read my text messages, or my emails - it needs to get a specialized warrant in a court in fricking public after a probable cause showing. The proceedings MUST be public because the only only only way to challenge the probable cause finding is through the adversarial process.

It is the ESSENCE of the 4th amendment that there should be no search of someone’s privacy without a specialized warrant. It is the ESSENCE of Due Process that our citizens are entitled to Notice and an Opportunity to be heard.

secret warrants issued by secret courts with no notice or no opportunity to be heard —WILL create abuse. It’s not an if, it’s a when. A judiciary unrestrained by concepts of due process is a car without seatbelts. It is PER SE DANGEROUS.

Dangerous if Obama is driving. Dangerous if Trump is driving. Dangerous if Bush is driving. DANGEROUS.

Neither colluding with foreign governments or federal agents is currently against any laws. Just change the laws and move on to the business of running the government. This isn't rocket science people.

Neo-libs modern Democrats are FOLLOWERS of:
The Father of Political Correctness, the most influential leftist in Academia, Entertainment Industry, Media industry in the U.S. of the Twentieth Century, and continuing today.

Cultural Marxist Herbert Marcuse:

quote:

Given this situation, I suggested in 'Repressive Tolerance' the practice of discriminating tolerance in an inverse direction, as a means of shifting the balance between Right and Left by restraining the liberty of the Right, thus counteracting the pervasive inequality of freedom

quote:

Liberating tolerance, then, would mean intolerance against movements from the Right and toleration of movements from the Left. As to the scope of this tolerance and intolerance: ... it would extend to the stage of action as well as of discussion and propaganda, of deed as well as of word.

And this is why education in Unis are more about indoctrination than education. Creating generations of like followers.

quote:

neutral, value-free, formal aspects of learning and teaching now become, on their own grounds and in their own right, political: learning to know the facts, the whole truth, and to comprehend it is radical criticism throughout, intellectual subversion. In a world in which the human faculties and needs are arrested or perverted, autonomous thinking leads into a 'perverted world'

The bases for discourse isn't logical, or objective because Marcuse, that is, cultural marxism specifically denies logic, objectivity as what is wanted in society.

quote:

The pre-empting of the mind vitiates impartiality and objectivity: unless the student learns to think in the opposite direction, he will be inclined to place the facts into the predominant framework of values.

This is why everything is viewed through political lenses, Dems can do no wrong, and Republicans can do no right.

Trump should tell democrats that if they don’t have a problem with the president spying on political opponents then they won’t care if he does it .

You make an excellent point.

I will add that there are a significant number of people within the bureaucracy who seem to operate above the law. We’re seen several examples in recent years. Lois Lerner at the IRS; Loretta Lynch meeting with Bill Lanton on the tarmac; James Comey declaring that HRC didn’t commit a crime even though that is the legal duty of a US Attorney to decide; McCabe and whatever he has done; FISA warrants being illegally obtained. The list keeps getting longer.

We all should be alarmed by this.
