With a very good WR group coming in (according to the TD early signing tracker) a 5-Star and two 4-stars in Marshall, Jones, and Jenkins ( I believe that’s the correct spelling of their names) do you think that they really like what they see in Brennan or Narcisse? Or are they just keen on staying in-state? Or, could this be a handful of guys that have watched Tiger WRs do very well in the NFL?

I really hope that O and Ensminger can decide on one QB, at least for a season or two.

I don’t want to be overly optimistic, but it seems that regardless of the OC they like what they see from LSU’s future QB’s. I live in Texas, so I don’t hear a lot about LA high school football but, this is a top tier WR crew coming in. Pretty exciting.

Definitely getting a lot of wide receivers. Really good ones. All we need is one of our young quarterbacks to step up.

Absolutely.
DE was a smart qb but he lacked most of the ability. I think Brennan’s a smart competitor who has that ability and decision making to make the plays. He’s got the height but with a few pounds he’ll be alright.
We’ll be alright

We've had talented rec groups for couple of decades now and that won't change any time soon. Fans like to worry about the QBs but I'm more focused on the recent additions to the OL.

Strong OL play will elevate our QB play going forward.

Completely agree. But, at the risk of being a homer, these QBs seem like the real deal. I had my doubts about most of the previous QBs, Harris comes to mind. I liked Etling, he didn’t set the world on fire but he was more than serviceable. Mettenberger, liked his toughness.

I don’t obsess over QBs, I obsess over the secondary and LBs. Dlineman also.

But, without worrying about coaching, we have an excellent passing game coming up. At least on paper.

Aranda’s got the D, and I think they’ll be humming. I’m not worried about them at all.

WE MUST SCORE POINTS!

You sound like a homer. You have virtually zero data on Lowell Narcisse, and you have very little on Brennan.

4*- Derrick Dillon
4*- Stephen Sullivan 6'6
4* - Drake Davis 6'5
(you missed Dee Anderson) 6'5
4*- Racey Mcmath
4* - Jaray Jenkins
5* - Terrace Marshall 6'4
4* - Kennan Jones
5* - Jamar Chase

in conclusion, throw it to the tall guys... If you cant hit one of those guys on a slant over the middle, you are mentally challenged..

A name y'all have yet to list is Senior WR Michael Ostrom. Watch out for him this year. Great route running, speed, and catching ability.

We all know the success of LSU next year rests heavily on the shoulders of one person...

With all due respect Mr. Ostrom, if you're son is on the field at any point next season, our coaching staff is even worse than most on here already believe.

Giles will be the real deal. He is likely our Number 1 receiver next year.

Jonathan Giles is the most accomplished WR on our roster.

This is very true but you can't deny that this is the most potential as far as having a real threat at QB since we had Mett.

I love and I mean love the upside of both. I think Narcisse will surprise the hell out of a lot of people.

Per DJ Chark about Narcisse:

quote:

What about Lowell Narcisse?

He’s a powerful guy. You don’t want to get in front of him if he’s running the ball. He’s just like a running back. He’s a competitor. Neither one of those guys is going to run from the challenge. Spring is going to be real exciting for them.

I would give a leg for a Heisman nominee under center.

That's not an exaggeration. I would literally lose a leg. Oscar Pistorious had 0 legs and was not only faster, but managed to kill somebody. It'd be a win-win for me.

Absolutely no one had doubts after Jennings' and Harris' first games.

Jennings orchestrates an improbable comeback against Arkansas after Mett goes down with an injury late.

Harris nearly does the same thing against Mississippi state the next year. And then accounts for 5 total TDs against New Mexico State.

I'm very hopeful about Brennan and Narcisse, but I'll keep my expectations in check.

We do continue to have excellent WRs and one day, when we have a QB to compliment them, the SEC is finally FCKED.

Stephen Sullivan and Dee Anderson should be our red zone/end zone "Who's Your Daddy" this year. I've never seen as many Basketball size WRs as this. Brennan and Narcisse can't say they don't have anyone to throw to.
