Why? There has always been competition in this conference. What is one more team?

Frost is a good coach and Nebraska will do better but the expectations are crazy. First, the spread is not going to work there. If Frost brings that spread O and no defense to Lincoln he won't be successful. And Iowa isn't worried about that, we'll just line up and punch them in the mouth like has happened the last several years.

The great thing about this is the opportunity it presents. Nebraska has to know this is their last shot at relevance. If they run Frost off in 5 years due to lack of success, or better yet, after he wins 9 games a year, no coach in the country will touch that program. Nebraska fans have such unrealistic expectations it will be impossible for him to succeed. You've already heard them here, no more than 2 losses in year two. Completely unrealistic.

Nebraska is fast on it's way to becoming a relic like Minnesota and Army. It's going to be fun sending them there.

UCF has a pretty good defense as they proved yesterday. The defense carried them last year as the offense fell apart. They just aren't deep and wore down as the season played out this year.

His scheme will work if he gets the right personnel but that's going to be tough at Nebraska. UCF just had better athletes than almost everyone they played. He inherited a few guys who will get looks in the NFL on defense and knocked it out of the park recruiting/evaluating on offense in his 2 years.

It's probably going to be a rough transition for at least a year or two, we'll see how the Nebraska faithful deal with that.

I've been a lifelong Husker fan and I don't know anyone who is saying that.

The only expectation that I, and many other Husker fans, want to see is the team be competitive in years 2-3 and eliminate the blowout losses.

Year 1, not expecting any miracles as we were a very bad team this year. Just want to see some improvement and a change in attitude and culture around the program.

Once his system is in place there is no reason the Huskers shouldn't be a West division/Big Ten contender every 2-3 years much like Wisconsin.

Don't know anyone who has the bar set at 2 losses in year 2.

I love this line. We had two coaches who sucked arse at their job and a lunatic who couldn’t win the big game over the past 14 years. Frost is one of the upstanding coaches in the game and has seemed to be a heckuva game coordinator to boot. Speed can win in the B10 look at OSU and PSU... then look at Iowa

Look at the 2019 schedule. Outside of Wisky and tOSU it's super weak.

I can see them being pretty good most years since they play in a weak division similar to when Solich was there. And every now and then having a great team and challenging for a playoff. But their days of dominating the competition year in and year out are over.

When Nebraska left the Big 12, they cut their pipe line to Texas talent and lost their annual nationally televised games against OU and Texas. Now they are just another school marooned in the near west. Chicago talent gets filtered through ND, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, and - before they committed institutional suicide - Mizzou before it makes it all the way west to Lincoln.

Frost is a good coach, but resurrecting Nebraska football has a lot of structural issues...of course, they could go full SMU-pony express for a few years till the NCAA catches on.

Nebraska can get back to elite status if Frost is able to recruit nationally like Tom Osborne did back in the 1980s & 1990s. There’s nowhere near enough instate talent or even in the upper Midwest for him to do so.

Came here to say that Nebraska is not "regretting" their choice of leaving the Big XII now that they are a full-fledged member of the B1G and reaping the financial benefits. They are projected to receive nearly $51M from the B1G this year, which is almost double from the $26M it made from its partial share last year.

Based on the UNL Chancellor's comments in October, returning to the Big XII is far out-of-mind for this university.

If Scott Frost can't win at Nebraska, nobody can win at Nebraska. That's about how I feel.

Frost will dominate? Do you forget who's coaching Ohio state? Or at Penn state? Both of those coaches will skull drag Nebraska.
