I don't even recall JJ ever getting one.......even when the refs were calling a bad game against LSU.

No coach should ever get a technical. Grow the frick up, I respected Johnny for not acting like a spoiled child.

As a basketball official for 20+ years, I can tell you that a tech foul can be a VERY useful tool for a coach in so many different ways, regardless of the score. Good coaches seek them to turn a game upside down and/or to send a message to his team/fans. Not sure if that was the case with WW tonight.

Beat a clearly inferior team then acts like a chump and gets a technical.

I’m rewatching the game now. They just showed the replay...he really didn’t seem to do anything. I can only assume he said something to the referee he was walking near...?

Young basketball version of Nick Saban.

Give him time and he'll get this thing going at a Championship level.

I'm a hard liner when it comes to Head Coaching standards at this level and I like everything I see from WW.

Peas better wrap him up or a school willing to spend more money will grab him from here.

Even though it's still very early in the "Process" you can just tell he has the "IT" factor. (Just like you could tell that Johnson and Jones didn't have IT)

Just popping in to let the negawaders know that the PMAC got the loudest it ever got last night when the Sam Houston player shot his two free throws after the technical. He missed BOTH free throws

Getting a technical foul hurts your team does it not? Am I missing something? Has the former basketball coach sucked so bad during the games that we embrace our head coach getting fouls that send the opposing team to the line for free points? Can he not coach the players, show emotion and fire the players up without giving the other team freebees? I wasn't there so need someone to help me with this.

Edit:

I guess there's my answer!

I was traveling home to Atlanta from Lafayette and stopped off to see Mike on my return to that hell-hole known by many as "Hot-Lanta." At Mike's habitat I was privileged to meet two former VCU players who had come down for yesterday's game to see their coach run LSU's team. They absolutely love Wade and are devoted to him enough to follow him to see a game at another school far from Virginia.

Seeing him get called for that tech foul, and seeing how his former players from another school love him enough to drive several hundred miles to see him coach during the Christmas break gives me faith that we will one day see our Tigers become a force to be reckoned with in basketball like we haven't seen since the days of Dale Brown.
