Only problem I have are the parents. They’re hitting up every well off neighborhood in the city. To do this, they fly threw my neighborhood, letting their kids out at each house. They don’t walk the neighborhood. Creates a VERY dangerous environment as there are literally thousands of kids on my street throughout the night.

If you want to trick or treat, park and walk. Many of my neighbors refuse to give candy if they get out of a car.

Maybe if you’d pull your head out your arse you’d see something other than shite.

Because it's traditionally supposed to be a neighborhood thing, not an excuse for organized panhandling.

That's great. I like neighborhoods that are just full of kids. Mine used to be like that, but most people are old. There are no other kids within two blocks of us except for toddlers.

Because 12 is the age limit and 19 year olds are too old.

We bring the kids in the neighborhood by their school. Never an issue.
I give out candy, go all out, dress up everything. It sucks. My neighborhood is middle class, 90% white, just old.
Why not give the kids a better time?

We go by their school, walk two blocks and come back.

Years and years ago ours was the neighborhood kids name to. We would have haunted houses and everything.
I just put my decorations up and a neighbor offered me some of his.
I said I still had seven boxes of halloween stuff, but it's not worth my time, unless I host a party.

I have to say my experience with this is they are nice and polite and I enjoy being a good example for white people handing out shite.

That doesn't sound like I meant it.

Said it before but here. I'd rather have teens in no costume at my door vs them out there drinking or wearing a slutty costume. Let them enjoy the age they are.

I dont mind it, kind of like it actually. I feel bad for the kids that they cant go in their own neighborhood.

I CHOSE to live in a nice area, don't want busloads of others coming in just to get candy. There are enough kids in this neighborhood to buy candy for already, don't need the project folks coming here in droves too. Candy ain't cheap. I keep separate containers to hand out, good stuff for the neighborhood kids and the really cheap shite for the invaders.

People who are bussed in do not take pride in the neighborhood or community the same way as the residents.

This is basic human nature.

It's not racism or elitism. If I work hard all year to upkeep my neighborhood and build relationships with my neighbors, I'm not going to be ecstatic when outsiders who did nothing to improve my neighborhood come in once a year to reap the benefits.
