Dude, come on. Let's not pretend that he didn't know exactly what he was doing.

Now that i have calmed down. I am reminded that even if Taylor would have been out, Cubs still would have had to come from down 2 against this big fricker

Me too.

fricking only reason I didn't get the Presidential Physical Fitness award in 5th grade was because I couldn't touch my toes.

I'm not acting like he didn't know what he was doing. I'm calling it a natural baseball play that doesn't need a rule

and, what im and im assuming hendo are saying, is that if that wasnt a rule, contreras would be on his way to a hospital because his leg would have been snapped in half

I like the Cubs chances against Rich Hill tomorrow. Lester has to go 7 with this damn bullpen.

If that had been a deciding run, I honestly would have lost bodily function

I have been mad at officiating a lot before in all sports but this got to me

Is this the tom Brady rule like the NFL has now on qb's getting hit low?

More like Taylor's sternum would be snapped in half

The fact that the TELEVISION commentator told you to turn off the television, twice, should say a lot.

its because he stepped his leg out. if he was covering the plate, both culberson and contreras would be dealing with dumb heightened risk of injuries

i hate how tonight played out, but i agree that there should be a rule in place keeping people from sliding and destroying infielders and keeping people from just running over catchers at full speed

Nope they still would have had a long road back to come back against their bullpen. Just an incredibly frustrating play/rule
