The plan wasn't to hire O why can't people remember things that happened less than a year ago?

I’m not an attorney, so not sure whether LSU could ink a contract with Miles still on board. I think this would be required for the assurance you require.

Les needed to go, his run was over and the trend was certainly downward.

No it wasn't.

This is just something that's parroted over and over and is just accepted as true. There is zero evidence to point to a "downtrend."

If they allowed him to finish out the season he would've gone on the same run that Orgeron did, with the exception of losing to Florida. The brass knew that, that's why they fired him when they did.

you don't fire Miles if youre going to hire the most unqualified hire in big 6 history.

i think everyone can agree that we needed new blood at lsu.

When I look at the sideline I see O. I don't care what the plan was. You get a head start like that at a program like LSU, you damn well better end up with better than O.

Wait, I'm responding to Madking so this is pointless.

Look I can't stand Alleva and NEVER understood why we hired a coach from a basketball school who look very bad after the Duke lacrosse scandal. BUT Les was given fair warning after the 2015 season to change the offense and he NEEDED to do that. In the off-season he or others on statt were reported to have gone to several schools and "study" their offense in an effort to make ours more dynamic. Well, I was very happy to hear that because I loved Les Miles. Then, I tune in to the Wisconsin game and see not much has changed. RULE: If your boss tells you to do something you either: (1) quit because you are not going to that; or (2) do what your boss tells you. And be prepared to be fired if you don't. Why Les? Why? Why couldn't you just change the offense?

When Joe Alleva hears the word "football" he automatically thinks "soccer." People have to remind him that in America, "football" means "football" Can you please Joe just "leava" LSU?

Do you believe that this was the plan all along?

As per usual skip all the facts you don't like and focus on a false narrative the rant way.

As usual you make an abstract counter argument without presenting any "facts" yourself. Par the course for you though.

of course not but he was clearly the 3rd option and of the rumors are true, he and DP were going behind miles back and saying how much better the program would be if O was the head coach.

There is no point in firing Miles to buy him out and hire O with a buyout

Why couldn’t we get a fresh new slate

I'm not sure you fire Miles if O is the 3rd option.

I don’t believe Alleva even searched for a HC over those two months. Probably not until the last two weeks of the season with the results we see in place. I would of been talking to Herman’s agent all year long planning it out quietly.

Bo pelini would've been 100 times better.

Probably could've gotten him from Youngstown st.

I think that was the third option. Do you know Alleva?
