“ The man need it to go regardless of who”

That’s simply a very naïve approach to business. It’s an emotional reaction and like with most emotional reactions, it doesn’t offen lead to success. Would you have the same feelings in any other avenue of life. If you are unhappy with your doctor, would you say I’ll take any doctor but you? If you were unhappy with your attorney, would you say I’ll take any attorney but you? If you were unhappy with your girlfriend, would you say any girlfriend but you?

When you have a job that allows you to pay your bills, do you walk away from that job before you have another one lined up? Meaning, LSU needed to be damn sure that whoever they chose as a replacement, that replacement had the resume a school with LSU’s 16 years of football success deserves.

The way LSU handled this whole thing beginning in nov. 2015 screams incompetence.

I think it's the popular thing to say right now because no one wants to admit that they simply wanted change for the sake of change.

If people want to say we just needed a new face for LSU, or the program needed new blood/energy, that's fine. But then when they try to rationalize why they want him out with saying the program was trending downward or in a death spiral, then that's not really supported by anything.

Just like breakups, plenty of people break up because things are just stale, not because they're experiencing major issues or anything. And now we have the new girl and we realize things weren't really as bad as we thought they were with the ex.

Name one school besides Georgia when they hired Kirby that had a new coach lined up when they fired the old one.

Most of the time the schools have an idea of who they want to target and most hire search firms to vest candidates and have back room meeting with agents to gauge interest. All of which Alleva should of done but didn't do.
After Herman said no there should've been 3-5 guys interviewed that next week.

Alleva having a 2 month head start on the coaching search and ending up with O is truly terrible.

This is the real problem. Alleva fired Miles 1/3 through the season so he could find the best coach to replace him...allegedly.

And he ended up with O. That type of failure should be grounds for immediate dismissal.

If we're getting blown out by Auburn at halftime Alleva should go to Les at midfield, get on his knees, and beg him to come back

“ name one school besides Georgia”

Off the top of my head, Alabama and Michigan.

After the way all of this has gone down, I’m coming more and more to the opinion that Joe, for what ever the reason, had Coach O targeted for a long time and the other stuff was just smokescreen .

To believe that after two popular choices there were no other better options in all of college football but for Coach O is simply ridiculous beyond believe.

Alabama? They had pretty much hired Rich Rod before Finebaum started bashing him and his wife didn’t want to move to Tuscaloosa and that was after they had gauged interest on other coaches as well.
Michigan did because the 49ers were falling apart. Hoke was getting fired no matter if Harbaugh was coming or not

Yea, like Miles has never pieced together an OL for LSU before, and doesn't look like Canada is doing so well with it, actually.
Miles least talented OL delivered a respectable 3 loss reg season in '09, losing by 10 or less to 14-0 gumps, 13-1 gaytors, and 2pt loss to ole piss (no loss to midmajors or 30pt beatdown from SEC pondscum).

You can say whatever you want but the fact is Les Miles established a robust record of competence. You can say he would've been worse than Orgeron has been but literally nothing in his history supports it.

What is on Orgeron's record is his horrendous tenure at OM, LSU's worst loss to a perennial SEC doormat and the program's first ever loss to a Sun Belt team. People like you have a real problem with facts so you rely on weak, ridiculous hypotheticals to bolster your case.

If Bert/Bret flames out at Arkansas this year and they hire Les, would you really want to face a Miles coached Arkansas team?

Lol yea I'm sure scared of a Miles ran team with half the talent he had here. That's why Biliema isn't successful. He tries to bully the other teams with less talented players

It's becoming apparent that there was something we didn't know about going on between Alleva and Les that wasn't good. I guess Alleva wanted a coach who would be beholden to him for giving him a job no other AD in the nation would give him.

Les had to go, regardless of his replacement.

Further: Les should not have stayed =/= O is great

Nothing but BS!

So, you saying 7 win whoever would be better that 10 win Les? How do some of you find your way home from school.

Do you have no idea how quickly a program can turn to shite under the wrong guy or how long it can take to right the ship in the SEC? If you don't, ask Tennessee or Florida or most other SEC programs.

If results don't matter to you, sure.

You're saying even if the results with the next coach are worse, it's preferable than having a coach that produced better results. The only way that makes sense is if prioritize something else over performance.

Doesn't make sense considering we can't get rid of O because of his buyout and what they're paying Les

Logic? It has no place here on the rant!

The current state of the program is due to Miles running it into the ground. The man was too stubborn to change and ruined his place in LSU history. Just because you idiots hate O doesn’t change the fact Les was a moron.
