Scary looking.

You keep saying this. What do you think it means?

350 million guns in America and these people are worried about slowing down the sale of military style weapons. Crazy!

But, the reality is that with increasing technology we will probably always have guns.
You sure about that? One of the most popular pistol models today is the 1911. It was invented in 1911 incase you didn't pick up on that.

Also, what do you want done? Rifles of any kind kill less people per year than knives in the US by a factor of 5. No one is calling for a ban on knives. Pushing policy on "muh feels" is dangerous.

All of those tough gun laws have worked in Chicago and Baltimore, etc. haven't they?
Posted on 10/2/17 at 9:33 pm to asurob1
Yes. And the government that could take control away from "we the people" only had the same guns.
Now the government has better guns than the people has.
What was your point again?
Don't be fooled by the notion that your rights are malleable. If "we the people" accept that notion, we will eventually have no rights.

Don't talk about "intent" when it's painfully clear you have no idea what you are talking about here. Heller, McDonald, & Caetano has destroyed any chance of another Federal AWB. Alan Gura would buttfrick your miserable soul before SCOTUS if you think you can argue otherwise.
Again...the intent of the amendment was from back when we shot round balls that almost never hit the target ;-).
Dress it up however it allows you to sleep at night.

shark jumped
As I said before there will be no gun control
Congress will pray for the victims and then their families will bury them.
We will all meet here again for this discussion in six months time after the next worst mass murder in American history.
We all know it will happen.

You're right, they are. But they are also not used in mass shootings all that often (Virgina Tech being the one exception I can think of).
If we use the definition of mass shooting as "4 or more casualties", then, yes, they are used in the majority of mass shootings.

I wonder what it's like to sit around and be so paranoid.

Italian semi-auto air rifle and pepper box pistols that pre-date the 2nd Amendment pretty much assure that the concept of firing multiple rounds from a small-arm were not alien concepts to the Founding Fathers. You maybe terribly uneducated but don't project that onto them.
