So let me get this straight - this is a thread complaining about losing the things you used to do because of children? Really?

Kids are the greatest gift one could have. It takes a short-sighted, narrow mind to complain that one's golf time is not as much as before because you have to take care of the kids. Good grief.

I'm a single Dad with no time to do the things and that doesn't bother me one bit. I prefer it this way. Some people.

Easy there, trigger. I love my kids to death. the sacrifices are totally worth it... that said, let's not pretend like there aren't sacrifices.

That's unfortunate. After reading your posts on the Vietnam War, it's obvious your kids don't stand a chance.

how old are your kids?

based on my experience, new parents or parents of young children spew this rubbish. Once the kids are teenagers and older, the parent's attitude changes and the perspective becomes more negative.

fair enough. Perhaps you are the type who lives for and through your children. Not everyone feels the same.

would you say this about Adam Lanza or Dylan Klebold?

Relax, Francis......

I've welcomed the loss of certain liberties due in large part to becoming a parent of 3 wonderful boys. I honestly don't have a sliver of regret, rather thanks galore. BUT, I one day I will have that GT350R.....one day....

You don't have to be overzealous about how much you love spending time with your kids to over compensate for the fact that you fricked up their family values by getting divorced.

Jesus Christ. Is there still air up there on that high horse?

For me, College. As a single mom footing 100% of the bills, I was never brave enough to take the time off and not have a back up big enough, so I kept working. I have a career and I enjoy what I do, but I still would like to have had the experience.
