Wanna talk about hypocritical?? The same people kneeling for the Anthem today will have to "support" Veterans in November for Salute to Service month by wearing camo patches and the such.

Or are they going to sit that one out too.

The NFL pocketed more money than they donated anyway.

I've never heard one kneeling player say anything negative about the Armed Services so I'm sure they'll show their support as usual.

Kneeling for the anthem does not equal not supporting troops.

The act itself is disrespectful to the flag/anthem/country, whether they intend it to be or not.

It's amazing how many people don't get this. I'd be willing to bet the vast majority of active duty and vets aren't even upset by the anthem kneeling.

Those Veterans fought so others have the right to freedom of speech.

Correct, but they do deserve respect. With the kneeling, black power fist, and other all about me BS is done while soldiers are on the field waving our flag, it’s not exactly showing respect to the people who risk their lives for you.

Idk. But I found it kind of weird when it came out the Pentagon was paying them to do all the military stuff.

You can do all of this and still have respect for the troops.

FWIW I wish they would have chosen a better method than kneeling for the anthem

First of all, anything the NFL does to "salute" or "celebrate" anything is for show anyway.

Second, to all those saying they aren't disrespecting veterans by kneeling because they aren't trying to--what police officer (the real reason for KAEPERNICK'S protest) fights and dies to protect the country? They "Protect and Serve" but they aren't fighting overseas to protect our freedoms.

As far as these idiots kneeling: it has nothing to do with cops and everything to do with Trump. If it had to do with blue on black agression, they would have all been kneeling months ago. This is all a temper-tantrum because the President said they should be fired if the knelt during the anthem.

So in a way, it is disrespectful to the military because the only reasom they are doing it is because someone pretty much told them they should be punished for doing so. That's not freedom of speech. That's whining.

It would save Americans money since the military pays for it as a recruiting tool.
