We have reached the point where standing for the anthem and calling out those who do not is racist and divisive. Time for the Balkanization folks. USA had a good run. We are no longer united by common cultural norms. Why should anyone from a red state serve to defend citizens of blue states who hate them and what they stand for?

Relax. None of this really matters.

We don't have a single cohesive country anymore. Not even remotely close.

These divisions are only growing too.

America voted for Trump except for a handful of big cities.

Don't let the small few in charge control your understanding of reality. They create perception and all... and perception is reality... But not to those who pay attention.

97% of our landmass voted in change. The small handful of loudmouths don't speak for us all.

You frickers call for this every week for a different reason.

If y'all weren't millenials, you would have been self-sufficient enough to have already moved to your cabin in the mountains to work on your manifesto.

Oh, for frick's sake, a fricking president who thinks it's OK to insult a war hero and a gold star family is all upset because some football players kneel during the national anthem? Give me a fricking break.

Why the hell do so many people want to destroy our global advantages, and the wealth of American households?

Yes, I'd love to live in a new balkanized US where everyone is poor as frick and violent, trying to survive. That sounds really great. Sign me up.

One could call it an attempt to transform America!

I can understand the desire for balkanization.

However, the problem with any form of secession is that it is a slippery slope that could cause more instability.

Think about it, if we split over this what is to stop more states splitting off for a myriad of reasons. Texas wants to leave cause it feels its carrying the tax burden. South Carolina leaves cause it wants more freedom over workers rights.

The list goes on, and the only real winners are Russia and China controlling a world with a fractured US.

Looks like you're referring to the "No-Consequence Culture". It took a long time for it to develop - mainly while we were sleeping. It will take a while for this weed to die, but it will. Blocking its food and water supply is the first step. Democratic cultures have a way of healing themselves. The tired, hungry and downtrodden aren't the only ones with rights, although they'd have you believe otherwise. All out of guilt trips.
