Or maybe he's throwing LN's name out there to force BYU to prepare for a duel QB as well.

We shouldn't have to trick BYU.

If Etling hasn't locked down this job yet he's not the guy.

Just saying, adding a Zone Read element to Canada's system has potential to be lethal. And remember in November in his intro presser O said he wants a dual threat QB to run the offense

I don't think its that as much as this would just be totally out of the blue given the previous comments on Brennan and lack of commentary on Lowell.

How fast is LN? Like is he mobile or does he have skill position fast?

Bout to go full blown Spurrier mode and pick a new starter each week depending on the game plan. Fine with me if they all look good. Just win and make it fun again.

I don't think we need to, but why not take advantage? Would you rather take a chance and watch another Wisconsin type debacle? Has this fanbase learned nothing from the Wisconsin game? That and the several other openers we could have easily lost?

This offense needs time to gel. Anything extra a coach for LSU does to gain the upper-hand I welcome.

Contrary to what some of you believe, BYU is no slouch. Plus they've got a warm-up game, which we do not.

Anyway, it's a moot point. Hopefully the players don't carry some of your attitudes and take BYU seriously.

I think Coach O should play his top 2 in the 1st half vs BYU. Whoever plays the best under the lights takes over the 2nd half and finishes the game. Sorta like how Bama did with Barnett and Hurts last season.

So we hear nothing about Narcisse all summer, and now he's right there at 2? bullshite.

what we HEAR is what they choose to tell us. this year our offense is secret. the ultimate secret playbook. not only do we not know what plays we're gonna run, we don't know who's gonna run 'em.

I don't think BYU is a slouch but they're not juggernaut either. LSU wins comfortably if both are on their A-games.

I just can't believe that a redshirt senior hasn't put some serious distance between himself and a couple of guys that were playing HS ball last year. And people think he's going to take us to the playoffs?

Ohio State needed 3 QBs to win the national championship.

Prior to that, the 2006-2007 Florida Gators won the national title with a 2-QB system (Chris Leake and Tim Tebow)

Prior to that, Ohio State and USC won titles with 2-QB system.

It's rare, but it has been done.

Maybe it's not a reflection of how bad Etling is, but how dynamic Narcisse is and how good a passer Brennan is. Remember, both Narcisse and Brennan were much underrated going into their senior seasons but for different reasons. Narcisse is the real deal and can make big plays with his legs, while Brennan will likely be a first-round pick.
