Around here it's Frenchman's Bend.

Yep, I can generally blister that course even when I couldn't crack 90 anywhere else.

You are like a neglected step-child crying for attention.
I am currently living in Johns Creek, GA. I'll let you know the next time I'm down in New Orleans and I'll put on a clinic for you and your buddies.

We all know what you want to do when you come to New Orleans.

Bayou Oaks when it dries out. Big wide fairways and relatively flat greens. Played in May, first round back from a broken left leg and horseshoed out a 30 footer for a 79. I've only broken 80 a handful of times.

Played it last weekend and it was wet. Got zero roll on drives and the new greens still aren't holding good enough to stop long irons.

You miraculously disappeared when I was in North Georgia. Of course, nobody expected you to show up/play. Lesbians are usually scared of guys with torque, and horsepower.........

Welcome back NET - was that only a two week ban?

I made my availability known to you, and you never made an effort to schedule. I was a bit preoccupied the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the week you were "near" Atlanta as I was sitting for the Georgia bar exam. So forgive me for not going out of my way to beat your arse. I'll be down in New Orleans soon, at the latest I'll be in town for the Sugar Bowl. Should be plenty of time for you to get a few steroid cycles under your belt to compete.

Bayou Oaks is an easy course. It could be much more difficult. Not sure it would ever be hard enough for a tour event though.

I'm not sure I'd describe a 7300 yard course in South Louisiana as easy but there are plenty of places to miss. If you're making a bunch of birdies from 7300 yards then you're better than 99.9% of the golfers out there.

best approach to breaking 80, determining your weaknesses, specific practice to improve, play with someone experienced with the course who can be your caddie with yardage, breaks on greens etc. it worked, quit playing and practiced three days a week for 3 months, walked on a course I never played before and was caddied by 2 old regulars, birdied first 3 holes, broke 80 for the first and only time with a 75!!! Quit practicing, kids came along and haven't broken 80 since...

Play the shorter tees. The same course can get really easy and fun from the forward tees.

Golf doesn't have to be punishment.
