I came across this short video earlier which I found fascinating. In the video, Auburn PD is being proactive and forcing any protestor who is attempting to enter the protest to remove masks and hoodies. Anyone who refuses to do so is not allowed to enter and threatened with arrest if they attempt to enter wearing one. They are also filming them as they walk by. It was a pretty ingenious move by the Auburn PD because it stripped away the anonymity they rely on for mayhem, and it also got their faces on camera for potential identification if they caused trouble. If anyone is familiar with Black Bloc tactics, the idea is for everyone to dress in all black with covered faces to make positive identification of anyone impossible. Auburn PD neutralized this tactic

The fact that the law at auburn isn't replicated shows something far more sinister is going on here.

The dude at the 20 second mark looks like he is going to a live action dungeons and dragons role playing event.

I think firehoses would be a nice touch. A slight nod to the classics but with a contemporary setting.

Havent clicked the link but if its as ypou described, I assume it would be a great hinderance to a lot of foolishness.

I believe in upholding the right to assembly (not assembly in anonymity), and Auburn PD is protecting the right to assembly in this case.

This should be SOP for all rallies and used by all police forces.

I thought the preferred method in Auburn was to jump into the side of somebody's knee when the weren't looking.
