We give Luhnow shite for doing next to nothing. I think we would have actually been better of if he literally did nothing. His lone trade has done nothing but bite us in the arse

I mean it hasn't worked out with Liriano yet, but this is pretty much the path that like 90% of good relievers take

Uhh. Most guys you're referring to are moved to the bullpen early in their careers and developed as relievers.

Not 34 year old career starting pitchers traded into a contenders bullpen mid-season.

The theory is still the same, regardless of age. That their pitches play up in shorter outings

Obviously that hasnt happened so far

This is gonna be my only post of the night, but this team is a fricking joke right now. I honestly think the Astros teams from 2011-2013 would have a decent chance to beat them.

Hinch can take a number and get in line.

You probably have a point on the midseason thing.

Liriano is different from Davis and Miller because he was actually a really good starter at one point unlike those guys. Most of them change at like 27ish after sucking it up as starters for a few years.

It isn't worth arguing about though, he's obviously not working as a reliever and he's a rental so it was a waste.

The injuries seem to happen all at the same time. Better now than later I guess. Hopefully we get back to form

13 game lead after tonight. If not for a miraculous comeback against the blue jays it would be 12. And we all thought that game may have been the wake up call. Sadly, it wasn't.

The trend is more than worrisome. Less than .500 baseball for too llong of a stretch now with minuscule to no improvement in Both the starting and relief staffs. We resemble very little of the team that made it to July.

I know ryno's comment about us not making the playoffs a few weeks ago were tongue and cheek. But if this lead gets down to 10 in the next week there will be a whole lot of puckering going on.

Worked for Bregman. Sounds like the rest of the team needs to be proded by some flees on the nutsack.

The Mariners have made up 6 games in a week. Keep this shite up and we're going to play our way into an unnecessary division race.

It wasn't tongue in cheek. It's a very real possibility

Man am I glad Fisher got a hold of that one!

For a second there I thought an organization that traded all its veteran players to stockpile the most talented farm and play a lineup of no names was going to drag their collective nuts all over the face of an organization that purposely had multiple 100 loss seasons, so they could position themselves for a WS run.
