First time starting the thread all year. Let's see if I'm lucky.

Also, if this was a weekend game, I would almost bet it being the shortest thread so far. This fan base is depressed.

This is promising. McHugh has looked good so far in his return, and Miguel Gonzalez is a bum.

Also, I'm curious if he starts slow next year. Everyone said it was because of the WBC, but he might end up being a slow starter. Some guys yearly just take a few months to heat up. I don't remember him being that way at lsu or the minors so I would guess the two slow starts are from pressure last year and WBC this year. Still will be something to keep an eye out for next year.

So what kind of prospects can we get for altuve and correa in the offseason?

Need to restart the process.

Has more to do with the narrative of the DATs for a few weeks now.

My favorite part of depressed negative DAT times is when Ryno reverses to more positive posts.

On the season Bregman is #11 in OPS top 10 in wRC+ and wOBA amongst 3rd basemen and has raised his ISO power to tied at 12 with manny machado.

Anybody have any news of Correa's injury? He started swinging now correct? And if so, when do we expect him back, early September?

They said 6-8 weeks recovery but if he somehow beats that, he still won't likely play minor league rehab games until early September.

3 things to know about the game:

• Gonzalez had been pretty good after the All-Star break up until his last outing in Boston. He reeled off three consecutive quality starts after dealing with A/C joint inflammation in his right shoulder, but couldn't get out of the second inning at Fenway Park en route to giving up seven runs.

• The Astros are great away from Minute Maid Park this year, with their 38-15 road record entering Tuesday being the best in baseball and the third-best winning percentage on the road in Major League history. The Astros are also averaging an MLB-best 6.89 runs per game on the road.

• The White Sox offense is struggling, particularly in key situations. Entering Tuesday, Chicago was hitting .165 with runners in scoring position over its past 20 games.

I thought I heard something about taking batting practice in Arizona.

Might be confusing him w one of our other multiple DL stint guys though

This was dated yesterday...

quote:

Correa (thumb) said he won't resume swinging a bat until next week, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: The star shortstop was expected to pick up a bat this week, but he's apparently moving along a little slower than expected. Once he's able to swing a bat with no issues, he'll progress to taking batting practice before ultimately heading out on a rehab assignment.
