Has anything happened yet that any Republican wouldn't have done as well or better?

I literally can't think of anything, even from a very far right view. Any of them could have gotten some kind of healthcare bill. None of them would be hiring and firing left and right.

Cruz would have been way better in every way except for maybe regulation cuts. Trump is killing it there.

I don't think consumer confidence would be surging like it has been and I think nothing short of a 55-GOP-member Senate would have gotten any sort of worthwhile changes to the ACA through. The Dems were just hellbent on keeping it and were willing to call in whatever favors they needed to make that happen.
