OT docs. Need a "leg" doc recommendation for my friend Bill

I've personally seen Chip Bankston and Rick Ahmed (in Baton Rouge) and liked them both. However, Chip specializes on the shoulder and Rick on the hand and I don't have anyone that I can recommend for muscular / leg.
My partner, Bill Clover, recently hurt himself and appears to have pulled/strained/torn his quadricep. I've helped him ice it for 20 minutes, elevated his leg, applied BioFlex for him, wrapped it (his leg sillies) and made him down Advil, while mostly following the R.I.C.E. method.
Bill said he heard a "pop" when his accident occurred and immediately could not walk and still can't. It's more of a hobble and getting in and out of a vehicle is a challenge, because he can't bend his knee either without going into excruciating pain.
Other than time and rest, is there anything else that he can (or I) can do? Is it worth even seeing a doctor?

edit: and I agree with previous poster, "pop" is your ligament going bye bye.

No idea on doc, but go to BRPT-Lake for therapy. You dont need a doctor referral anymore. If the issue needs more than PT, they will refer you to the right doc for your issue.

How long ago did this happen? I pulled a quad many years ago. I remember that it wasn't a quick healing time.

You just need to get on top for the next couple of weeks and he should heal just fine

It's clearly still early. I read the thread title and thought "what in the hell is a leg documentary?"
