How prevalent is fiber optics in Metairie and Nola?

Also, what are the speeds like?

Finally, how much are you paying?

Not as prevalent as murder. More prevalent than intelligent life.

Cox has it. We have it at work. $1200 per month for speeds slower than cable maybe 100mbps, I forget the speed. The price varies greatly on the speed. Minimum might be $600 per month. I forget how much the install costs. Not sure if they are hesistant to give it to every day consumers because of what they are making from businesses with it.

You talking residential or business? We have fiber in the CBD and could have it up to 1Gb if we wanted, but have it much slower. (Business not residential).

Don't think there is any residential fiber in Orleans.

Come to the Safe Shore, I have 1Gb fiber to my house. It hasn't gone down once since we got it installed.

Not fiber, but I have 150mbps download with Cox for $75/month. I never have issues streaming hd movies on Netflix or kodi. I believe they offer 300mpbs for another $15/mo.

It's not. I think Cox has some locations and so does ATT but it's pockets/blocks vs. the entire city or area.
