Only because he's scared of pitching against Nola.

They would have to consider it.

The Mets would also have to for deGrom and reed. Maybe some additional throw in like hernandez/martin

I would only give up that package for Aaron Nola since he's pitched a no hitter vs Houston

I would love for the Astros to somehow land deGrom

Would rather have fulmer. Much younger and a horse. Degrom is 29 and has had some injury issues. Both are studs.

I'll take the guy who's pitched a no hitter FOR Houston.

Mike Scott isn't walking through that door.

Maybe it's just me, but I believe with the lack of leaks the Astros will be making a move for someone of the caliber of deGrom or Fulmer.

Seems media is simply regurgitating the obvious with linking the Astros to Gray etc.

Or I could be setting myself up for disappointment with that method of thinking

Luhnow has always run a tight lipped operation, I don't think we can draw any conclusions one way or another

I'm glad the Cardinals aren't leaking any of Luhnow's plans.

I saw Gray linked to the Calgary Stampeders on Twitter earlier.

Fisher being called up may mean Tucker is dealt. The only way Tucker is dealt is for a deGrom or Fulmer.

He will go big for the right guy. He won't go big for mediocrity any more. He has to look realistically at the next 2-3 years pitching wise.

Suddenly, Altuve is the best player in baseball

Suddenly. SI did an article a couple days ago that called Altuve (along with Judge) the breakout stars of the year. All this success came out of nowhere!

2017: 96 games .368/.431 30 doubles 2 triples 15HR 58 RBI 71R 21SB 40 walks 51 strikeouts

2016: 96 games .358/.427 26 doubles 3 triples 15HR 54 RBI 73R 25SB 44 walks 40 strikeouts

He's having a great year and it's nearly identical to what he was doing at this point a year ago. No, it's not suddenly and he's not having a breakout year. He's just being Altuve. Thanks for finally noticing.
