The bees add high fructose corn syrup to honey in the beehive instead of cane sugar these days. Cuts down on overhead costs

A lot of honey comes illegally from China via another country. They have anti dumping duties imposed against them. They heat it to remove the pollen which can tell the origin. They sometimes add hfcs to stretch it or even water.

A lot of the honey found in stores is not honey at all.
