I have seen pine snakes and water snakes in trees before, but the only thing that can do what that snake is doing is a rat snake. That is a grey. Chicken snakes in my part of the world were always the yellow rat snake.

Pretty much any time you find a snake climbing, it's going to be a rat snake.
