liberals are tolerant of conservatives? I completely understand a conservative or libertarian not wanting to live in an area run by liberal democrats.

Nashville is the new most overrated city. Was Denver and right before that is was Austin.

Not that these city's don't have great things going on, but people act like they are the end all be all and rate them stupid high. People end up having thes huge expectations but find out they are actually pretty pedestrian.

No one rated Atlanta high and I laugh at the people that try to rate Dallas high, aka the burbs of Dallas.

Someone also mentioned PNX eatlier in this Thea's and are spot on. PNX/Scottsdale had zero 'soul' as a city. The entire place is the color beige and it's funny as hell when you actually think about it. Everyone that lives there has ZERO family history there. It's hot as hell and has zero resources that aren't actually imported in. It's a SW Houston type cookie cutter sprawl. Only thing going for it is the hot college chicks.

Portland OR is very overrated. It's similar to Sacramento and no one rates that.

Sun belt cities, especially SE ones, are overrated. Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, etc

San Diego is overrated. It's LA Jr. LA is underrated. So is Houston.

Charlotte
I'll give you this one. I've heard people rave on Charlotte and when I went to visit it came across to me as nothing special at all. Yeah maybe if you are career minded and In the banking industry but outside of that it reminded me of Indianapolis

Out of the places I've been I'd say Miami. It was way too cheesy for me. I have Cuban family too so I was excited to go, but kinda disappointed.

I agree with Nashville. Memphis is more interesting and authentic to me.

Detroit is very underrated. It's cheap and really does have beautiful parts. It's still crap, but actually worth a visit
