Traffic getting out of Boston won't be great, but shouldn't be too bad at all after that.
If you're landing at 2pm, by the time you get off the plane, get your luggage, get to the car rental place, and get your car, it'll be 3pm at least.
Unfortunately, traffic starts picking up around then. You may be able to get out right before it picks up, but odds are it'll be busy on 93 North until you get to 95. I'd guess it would be a two hour drive to Portland.

Ok sounds good. if i choose that route, what is their to see and do other than the breweries(which i will be seeing)?
Curious if there is anything to stop at along the way? i was looking forward to going to the Cape and seeing Plymouth Rock,etc.
